Aroma of sugary malts, mild peat-like smoke, and faint oak. Complex flavors of cherry, brown sugar, orange peel, clove, and toasted malt. Finish is mostly sweet with subtle fruit flavors and noted warmth. A little sweet for me but I enjoy the complexity of the flavors. A nice sipping beer to savor on a quiet evening during the Holiday season.

The flavour is extremely sweet with a decent alcohol bitterness. Spicy malt notes, brown sugar and white sugar en masse. Very long sugary aftertaste with a little peppery alcohol that warms the nose. UriahHeep (311) - Georgia, USA - NOV 21, 2020UPDATED: NOV 21, 2020 12 oz. bottle. Incidentally aged for 18 months. I always pushed aside each opportunity to drink it, as it is such a high ABV.
Dark caramel or cola appearance. Head disappeared completely. Sediments settled to bottom. Aroma is molasses, brown sugar, dark fruits, marmalade. Mouthfeel is hugely creamy and syrupy sweet. Cloying but not unwelcome. Heavy malt, very little hops to be ascertained. Slight bittersweet finish. High alcohol is well wreathed within a blanket of sugary sweetness.
A good beer but not as polished as Samichlaus Classic or Helles.
