2/IX/18 - 375ml bottle @ Tim's BBQ Tasting - BB: n/a (2018-1216) Thanks Sebletitje for sharing the bottle!

Clear deep ruby red mead, lots of debris in the glass. Aroma: lots of honey, fruity, berries, sugary, alcohol is noticeable in the nose. MF: medium body with quite an alcohol sting to it. Taste: pretty sourish start, lots and lots of blackberries, little bitter, dry, tannins, fruity. Aftertaste: acidic, bit oxidized, honey, lots of alcohol, bit fruity, pretty dry finish, some tannins, alcohol burn, bit lemony, more of them blackberries. Very enjoyable.

Bouteille 375ml, batch#1, via trade, thanks Kyle. Couleur acajou, col huileux Arôme est excellent sur les saveurs de miel et de mûres. Au niveau de la mûre ressort de fines effluves de baies-ronce et de verger-buissons fruitiers. Rétro sur un bouquet mielleux avec aussi un rappel terreux de pieds d'arbustes fruitiers voire de vigne. La mûre reste bien présente. Palais est super sec avec un fini mûre qui ressort bien en toute fin de bouche de fait ouvrant le palais au caractère un peu aigre du fruit. Le tout s'accompagne très bien avec la douceur du miel. In fine, l'effet acidité du fruit est bien diminuée sans pour cela disparaître. Légèrement grinçant aux dents sur un côté un peu vineux en arrière-bouche et une sécheresse mise en avant.

Bottle thanks to Colin. Pours a dark purple with no head. The aroma is honey, berry, oak, grape. Thick body, jammy, berry, honey, nice booze, really enjoyed this.

Bottle shared. Pours a dark purple black color. Notes are Filled with blackberry juice, prunes, wood. Insanely dry and tannic wine funk. Some sour apple skins and honey. Like it

Bottle...Pour is purple with bubbles..Nose is honey, spices, blackberry juice, ..Taste is juicy berry, blackberry, spice, nutty, herbs..

Rich red with noticeable viscosity. Aroma is blackberry, honey, wood, grape skins. Medium bodied, viscous mouthfeel, fruity on the palate with a lightly woody finish. Taste is blackberry, oak, honey.

Bottle @ The Greenwald Residence. Blood red in color with a nice viscosity. Actually stained the bottle red. Very vinous and even tannic. Big woody character. Some booze, light fruit sweetness on the finish, but otherwise fairly dry, which is surprising. Has a slight butterscotch note to the finish. Maybe some watermelon rind. Definitely a bit of a let down.

Purple color. Still. Big berry tangy aroma. Taste is very big berry semi sweet some tart fruit.

Sample during the 10th Annual Day Before Labor Day Party on 09/06/2015. This Mead is a deep ruby-purple color with a minimal head and sticky legs on the glass. Aroma of honey and berries. Full-bodied with a vinous character flavors of blackberry and herbal honey. The finish is fruity with a lingering blackberry aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Not my favorite from them but to be fair I don’t like dry meads or wines. Flavor is great and typical from them but the finish just isn’t my thing. Overall, very nice.
