Rudzud (92) - Cherry Valley, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 9, 2020
UPDATED: FEB 9, 2020 shared with jlindros. i forget waht batch this is but it has to be from roughly 2015-2016. poured into a kate the great tulp a nice deep, rich ruby hue. big aromas of tart, sour cherry juice. glorious Montmorency cherries. Tart sweet cherries, loads of nice floral honey as well. The taste is more of the same, big and bright with tart cherries and cherry pie flavours as well, loads of subtle orange blossom honey sweetness. Alcohol hidden wonderuflly. The mouthfeel here is just lovely, alcohol hidden well, thick, luscious, still. Sits more like a cherry liquor than a mead, never getting syupy. Excellent
