COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Inspired by the moon shining methods of the American colonial period, Black Applejack mixes hard cider with cider eau de vie and a dosage of sun kissed blackberry sweetness. Succulent, smooth, and sinful, we raise a glass of Black Applejack to revolutionary cider!

Gerbeer (5947) - Nanoose Bay, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 9, 2022
UPDATED: JAN 9, 2022 375 ml bottle. Pours a deep garnet red. Aromas of dark and red berries with a bit of hibiscus. Flavors of baked apples, sugary dark berries, eucalyptus, and ripe red grapes. Wonderful. On par with a dark desert wine but with deeper fruit.

UPDATED: OCT 2, 2020 Poured from the tap. Deep red. Earthy sweet blackberry and underlying booze. Nice, but could be a bit smoother.

UPDATED: JUN 28, 2019 Beautiful aroma somewhere between blue cheese and a berry liqueur; soft and earthy like it just came out of a cave in France discovered around 1500 A.D. I can't fault it. The body is a deep red wine with ruby hints. Flavour is a warming berry liqueur combined with white wine apple cider. Full and warming on the mouth. Alcohol is invisible. I'm seriously impressed, this is a great after dinner drink.

Corked bottle
Dark blood color. It doesn’t even taste like a cider, it tastes like sweet berry wine, you can get the fortification; there is a good level of acidity and light astringency in the end.
Nice.

375mL bottle, pours a dark purple-ish red with a tiny head. Nose is pretty heated, with lots of alcohol, raspberries, and sweetness. Flavour is intensely sweet, with black raspberries, alcohol and liqueur-like hotness. Not the most elegant drink, but it’s a very nice liqueur / desert wine. Decent.

Bottle - Boozy alcohol and dark berries. Deep clear ruby. Dark berries, alcohol hits the sinuses and leaves a long sweet Berry finish. I like this, but find the alcohol is a bit much and takes away from any subtlety.
