12oz Flasche aus Texas. Kupferfarbenes Bier mit dunklem Schaum. Es riecht nach Röstmalz und Brot. Geschmack etwas trocken. Sehr getreidig.

Bottle from the wife’s travels. Consumed direct from bottle. Flat rye twang. Decent with peanuts. Other than that....pretty meh.

Light aroma. Pretty good flavor for a shiner malty beer. Rye comes through a little in taste and aroma. Sweet carbonated thickness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tasted on 5/27/2014 - 12oz. single bottle as part of a Shiner Family Reunion 6 pack bought at the local Harris Teeter supermarket. Aroma is very lightly roasted/toasted malt and very clean. Beer pours a nice copper color with a very thin head. Flavor starts out as dark, malty with a hint of the rye. Finish is muted, does not linger. It has an almost brown ale quality to it. Doesn’t feel very refreshing to drink, but the taste is good and it was a pleasant experience as a single beer.

Finhead (2278) - OFallon, Illinois, USA - MAY 29, 2014
Clear, reddish-brown with a small, off-white head. It has a toasted malt aroma with a hint of spicy rye. The medium body is somewhat sticky with average carbonation. The taste is lightly sweet and roasted.

Aurelius (6702) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAY 3, 2014
Nice, malty aroma. Twistoff US longneck, bad label. Clear, dilute rootbeer brown, thin whitish head. Toast and spice bitterness, rye astringency, toasted whole grain sweetness but generally dry. Medium to slightly light body, a nagging bitterness under your tongue in the very end. ABC, Bull Run.

Deep brown with a thin tan head. Malty, nutty, with caramel and toast flavors. The finish thins out too quickly. Not remarkable or memorable.

Bottle pour of a med amber red with a thin white head. Aroma of slightly sweet chocolate malt with a touch of rye spice. Taste of tasted rye with a slight refreshing citrus hop. Med light body with light carbonation and a short hoppy dry finish. Overall not bad but I would want all the flavors to be more potent. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
