billb (245) - Acworth, Georgia, USA - OCT 29, 2005
Poured with a big rocky head and large bubbles. Aroma is relatively weak for an IPA. There was a whiff of hops and not much else. A very nice mouthfeel with moderate to low carbonation (hard pour). Hops are apparent but not overbearing. Finish is hoppy. An average IPA overall.

DoctorAle (17) - Barnsley, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - AUG 17, 2021
UPDATED: AUG 17, 2021 Butelka 500ml z Morrisonsa.

Jerseyislandbeer (3514) - JERSEY - MAR 7, 2021
UPDATED: MAR 7, 2021 Old rating from 2014 - 355ml bottle, pours amber with a white creamy head. Aromas & tastes of orange, citrus, apricot, caramel, grass, pine & malt. Medium body. Slight bitter finish. Strange IPA as it's very on the heavy side. Still enjoyable though

UPDATED: AUG 6, 2020 Historical tick which I am adding as a rate so that I can see the impact it has on my stats. 500 Beers To Try Before You Die. Bottle from Tesco, Ashford, Middlesex or is it Surrey? Pissy stuff.

FACambridge (1122) - Chelmsford, Essex, ENGLAND - FEB 26, 2020
UPDATED: FEB 26, 2020 Aroma : Toasted sweet caramel malt, grapefruit citrus and alight floral/grassy hop. Taste : As aroma. Nothing wrong with it just standard and not a standout

UPDATED: OCT 15, 2019 (Bottle, 0.5 l - BB 30.09.2020, from a Sainsbury's, 20191015) The beer poured deep golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, sweetness and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, sweetness, fruitiness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and bitter. A decent pale ale.

I found this to be a below average IPA. Balance wasn't really working too well for me. Overly bitter, but not a good hoppy way....more like the metallic semi-swillish kind. First sample I thought it was OK, but on the 2nd try I wasn't feelin it. I found some others in the Captain's Collection variety pack to be worth the try, but not this one. I'll stick to my Bell's Two Hearted Ale, Lagunitas, Sierra Nevadas, etc. when looking for affordable IPAs

p0urmeac0ld0ne (791) - Merthyr Tydfil, WALES - AUG 31, 2017
fantastically hoppy and crisp beer. picked up a whole case of this once marked as "damaged" and had piles of it in the fridge for ages. i remember it well for its dark fruity flavours mixed with the zingy, citrus hop burst. deceptively strong/medium strength too.

Dorqui (3286) - Brescia, ITALY - MAY 20, 2017
Bottled 0,35L. Dark orange color, hazy aspect with good bubbly and short head duration. Soft yeasty and hop aroma, notes of wood and something sweetish malt. Medium prickly mouth, a little bit smooth taste with modest bitterish and unbalanced final.

BeerRenter76 (1097) - Texas, USA - MAY 10, 2017
Tried this on 2-18-09 the bottle says best before 5-08 so... It pours a slightly cloudy amber orange body. Thin off white cap disappated quickly and left some lace. Aroma and flavor was mostly of caramel malts with the bitter hops showing more in the mid and after taste. Overall it was fairly decent, but i wouldnt mind trying a fresh bottle

pleispleis (1128) - Maccagno, ITALY - APR 21, 2017
