Bitter finish with roasted malts, chocolate, oak, bourbon, resin, nuts and vanilla. Excellent barley wine.

The palate is lightly carbonated and full bodied. Highly alcoholic with the same flavors from the nose on the palate followed by a finish of raisins, dried figs, and caramel. Deep, succulent, decadent and delicious

The aroma is rich roasted, unctuous, oily, sticky, toffee, burnt toast, fudge, vanilla, toffee, candy, bourbon, salt water taffee, cacao, charred wood and earth. The taste is slick, oily, chewy, toothy, earthy, toffee, fudge, oak, earthy, warming alcohol, milky chocolate, oak, toasty, bourbon, salted caramel, dried fruits, maltesers, toothy and a touch of alcohol warming with a slick finish. Fulsome body and moderate carbonation. Impressive thick barley wine.

Robust aroma of oak, bourbon, roasted malt, vanilla. Taste is bitter edge with deep roasted walnut, almond, and pecan. Oak, vanilla, and bourbon follow. Solid beer, probably in my top 5 barleywines.
