COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Saison du Fermier is the harmony of new and old. It is robust and has the paler color of modern Saisons, yet it is balanced with the brightness, depth, and rustic character of the wild microflora found on our family’s Missouri farm. This limited expression of Saison du Fermier was fermented in and aged in Pinot Noir puncheons for 8 months before being naturally conditioned in the bottle.

Note: The label says Saison du Fermier with Red Wine Barrel Fermented Missouri Saison below it on a purple backdrop. The regular Saison du Fermier label is white with black text.

ctipping (3902) - Florida, USA - JUL 8, 2020
UPDATED: JUL 8, 2020 750 mL bottle. Golden body. Smells of deep vinous notes, grain, light acidity. Tastes of deep wine flavors, more distinctly pinot noir here. Sweet wine up front cut quickly bit tart lemon and vinous sourness. Grain. Oak. Back end is earthy and winey. There's a lot of wine there. Medium body. Dry, oaky, and winey. It's good, but it's not a subtle beer.

kraddel (10779) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - DEC 4, 2018
UPDATED: DEC 4, 2018 Thnx to Bart. Pours rather clear blonde, small white head. Smell is full, dry, tart, mild fruity ( apple-like, but not acetaldehyde ) , quite nice. Taste is tart, dry, fruity, full, medium body, rather high carbo. Rather sharp. Fruityness provided by the barrel, reminds a bit of apples, in a way.
