COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Saison du Fermier is a Chardonnay barrel-fermented Saison. It is the harmony of new and old. It is robust and has the paler color of modern Saisons, yet it is balanced with the brightness, depth and rustic character of Brettanomyces and Lactobacillus found in traditional Saisons. This farmhouse ale was fermented in and aged in wine barrels for several months.

UPDATED: APR 28, 2019 (750ml Blend 2 bottle @ Nische's tasting, thanks Werckmeister!) Hazy bright gold pour with a solid white head. Aroma of mixed citrus, tart white grape, pit fruit esters, wet wood, hay, touch of wine and moderate funk. Flavour is moderately sweet and moderately tart. Smooth pit fruit esters, nectarines, touches of citrus, tart white wine, balanced oak, rounded and almost creamy. Lightly sulphurous funk. Long deep tart fruity aftertaste. Medium bodied and plush with soft carb. Really lovely elegant saison, complex and balance without the runaway acidity of some SP beers. Highly drinkable.

tapefuzz (2157) - Massachusetts, USA - OCT 14, 2018
750mL bottle. Blend #2. Pours a deep golden with a moderate white head that quickly settles into something small and lasting. Aroma is wine, oak, funk, light raisin, and some very slight cobweb-y must. Taste is tart; white wine, oak, some vanilla, some barnyard, and a touch of pepper in the finish. Dry. Vinous. Medium body. Lively carbonation with a very slight astringency to it. After a while it overwhelms and fatigues the palate.

UPDATED: OCT 10, 2018 Hazy golden color with a medium white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Earth, hay, wheat, lemon, white wine, wood, tart finish.
