UPDATED: MAY 26, 2019 25/5/2019. Bottle courtesy of Colin. Pours thick black with a beige head. Magnificent aroma of chocolate, bourbon, roasted malt, vanilla, touch of coconut, coffee, toffee, molasses and nut. Medium sweetness, light roasted bitterness. Full bodied, sticky texture, very soft carbonation. Excellent.

Bottle shared with my bro for the final leg of our personal beer 'festival'. Pours black with almost no head. Aroma is very rich and complex, very sweet with loads of vanilla and some oak. Big smooth body. Flavours are very rich and complex. Sweet and the lactose is definitely noticeable. Lots of vanilla and bourbon too. All in all a beautiful BA bourbon impy, which is very sweet and rich.

5/V/18 - sampled @ Tilquin English Beer Festival - BB: n/a (2018-653) Thanks to the Belgian ratebeer crew for sharing today's beers!

Clear dark brown beer, small creamy beige head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lots of vanilla, bourbon, chocolate, caramel, sweetish impression, lovely stuff going on in this beer! MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste lots and lots of chocolate milk, cocoa powder, vanilla, lots of bourbon notes. Aftertaste: more and more chocolate, alcohol, lots of vanilla, roasted.

Drinked @TilquinEnglishBeerFestival2018. A really nice Imperial Stout, with as the name said, a really great kind of chocolate milkshake. Was a nice moment.

UPDATED: MAY 9, 2018 TEBF 2018. Czarny, nieprzejrzysty kolor, do tego piana, średnio wysoka i średnio trwała. Aromat: czekolada, kawa (ta jakby subtelniejsza w stosunku do aromatu czekolady), suszone owoce, delikatne nuty smoły, torfu.

33 cl bottle - bottled in march 2017 Wonderfully round and complex. Sweet, but not too much. None of the bitterness you would expect.

UPDATED: DEC 8, 2017 Donkerbruin (tegen zwart aan) met fijne parelende mokkakleurige schuimkraag. Caramel, chocolade, toffee, bourbon, hout, vanille. Zeer zacht en smoothy. Warmende afdronk. Abv goed weggestopt. Licht zoetig en plakkerig. Zeer mooie BA stout.

GoufCustom (3017) - HONG KONG - DEC 2, 2017

330 ml bottle with lot # "B543" bought at HK Brewcraft in Tsim Sha Tsui.

Looks: Clear deep Cola blackish brown colour with a thin layer of yeast sediments; Near zero head with residual soapy beige foam which fades in 3 seconds; Poor sticky lacing with zero carbonation.

Aroma: Very fragrant dark malt, with very strong Port wine, strong vanilla, strong oak-like barrel, strong cream, caramel, sticky toffee, strong cherries, sugar, strong spices, liquorices, strong biscuits, lemon and grass.

Taste: Strong sweet dark malt, with strong Bourbon, vanilla, strong oak barrels, strong cherry liquor, cream, dark chocolate, caramel, sticky toffee, floral, thick molasses, strong liquorices, spices, bread, lemon, strong bitter hops and grass.

Body: Full body. Very Slick palate.

Mouth Feel: Very good dark maltyness in a slightly thin but slick, not quite oily background. The Bourbon barrel comes in full force with strong liquor and nice smooth oak, surely helped by plenty of creamy vanilla and nice cherry liquor. Notable dark chocolate with strong caramel and silky toffee. Flowery with nice strong sweetness. Spicy bready with strong lemon to round. Nourishing and nice!

Hoppiness: Strong spices, lemon and grass in nose. Floral, spices, lemon and grass in taste; Bitterness - hops and liquorices - is strong for an abrupt, close to high astringent sweet-bitter dark malty finish.

After Taste: Fairly dry. Cherry liquor-ish sweet and quite bitter to mouth.

Comments: So they go all out with the Bourbon barrel, and I have to say the result is a pleasing Port wine aroma with charming cherry liquor taste, with lots of vanilla and nice oak in between. It's also even in body with a nice creamy strong sweetness, more like milk candy than milk shake. A pleasant surprise!
