alexsdad06 (16451) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - AUG 11, 2019UPDATED: AUG 11, 2019 This is a backlog rating from 2012 from a can, from notes. When I had this beer it was average to below average for the style and not something I wanted to have again or I just didn't get back to my notes because of my technology at the time, work and/or family. Words to describe this beer are toasted malts, chocolate, caramel, earthy hops, slightly above average brown.
JPDIPSO (6618) - Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA - APR 3, 2016Dark copper to umber color, with a taller, stable ecru colored head. Aromas of pale to slightly toasted malts along with a citric zest hops component. Thin lightly metallic feel.
Lightly sweet, and a bit nutty in flavor. Rather bitter in the finish and linger which takes away most if not all the enjoyable qualities. Needs more body for me. A bitter, watery amber. 5/12

pinkzambia (2196) - Boise, Idaho, USA - SEP 10, 2015Tap @ Rattle N Hum: Brown color with light brown head. Aroma of bread per the description definitely there. All around great brown ale. Easy to drink with a slight ESB type finish.
djd07 (26246) - Houston, Texas, USA - MAR 11, 2015Can. Pours a cloudy brown with large tan head that lasts. The aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, and hazelnuts. Medium mouth with roasted malt, caramel and light bitter finish, good.
jrodooo5 (2411) - DOVER, Delaware, USA - JUL 25, 2014Mmm, a delightful brown! Very good deep brown pour w/ a very good tan head that leaves lacing. The aroma is subtle but provides a nice coco malt scent. The taste is similar - heavy w/ the malts upfront & then finishes a tad bitter. Exquisite mouthfeel for a brown & overall definitely one to try!
Beergeek23322 (2602) - Chester, Virginia, USA - JUL 24, 20147/24/2014. From can. Dark brown with a tan head. Malty aromas with caramel, hops and dark fruit. Not overly hoppy, but with a good balance of hops and fruit.
TXBadger (2811) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUN 23, 2014Pours a nice brown color with off-white head. Roasted malt, caramel malt, chocolate, and a bit of sweetness on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes very clean for a brown ale.
Busick (390) - Lake Wylie, South Carolina, USA - JUN 18, 2014Received this in a trade and have fallen in love with this brewery. Problem is that they don’t ship to NC/SC!! Looking forward to trying their staple beers in the future!
