mcberko (34280) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 27, 2016On tap at Tin Bucket, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out fairly harsh burnt roasted malt, with fairly aggressive hopping. Flavour is along the same lines, with burnt roasted malt dominating, along with bitter piney hops on the underside. Nicely constructed - tastes better than it smells. Very good.

PorterPounder (10071) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JAN 30, 2016Tallahassee, Fl - on tap at Growler Country. Pitch black, motor oil like pour, bubbly mocha colored head, nice sticky web of lacing. Licorice and creosote find their way into the aroma. Solid, bold flavor with bittersweet baker’s chocolate, some earthy topsoil notes, a touch of espresso. Smooth mouthfeel, just a hint of chalkiness. Sixpoint is proving to be a consistent, solid brewer.
KoRoBeNiKi (157) - Fair Lawn, New Jersey, USA - MAY 20, 2015Can, as well as tap, Tap was slightly better
Appearance: black with a tan head, a bit more of a head on tap (either that or I suck at pouring)
Aroma: Light sweetness, some rich dark chocolate, light bitterness, caramel
Flavor: Some bitterness from the chocolate balanced out nicely with caramel, excellent
Palate: Semi-refreshing, a bit of sweetness and a TINY hint of alcohol
My favorite beer by them I have had, which is odd since I tend to not love Stouts.
