Moravius (3151) - Berlin, GERMANY - JAN 22, 2019

UPDATED: SEP 25, 2018 I love the idea here, but the execution falls a bit flat. Hazy gold, decent foam. Some minty-herbal hopping mingling with husky grain in the nose; but hops are mostly lost to cookies and grain. Sweetish taste, a bit soft, the bitterness is wanting. Tastes less than it's 35 IBUs; wants greater attenuation, I think, to help the bitterness stand out. Winds up tasting like a ho-hum brewpub lager. Malt does have a rustic, unrefined quality. Maybe I'm disappointed because I love Tettnanger and wanted that center stage.

Grumbo (14439) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - AUG 4, 2018
4/8/2018. Bottle from Die Bierothek® Würzburg. Pours hazy golden in colour with a just off-white head. Aroma of hop, malt, grass, fruit and caramel. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, average to soft carbonation. For its style, it's a really tasty brew.
