brokensail (18691) - Bay Area, California, USA - AUG 1, 2021
UPDATED: AUG 1, 2021 On tap @ Sockeye. Clear orange/amber beer with a white head. Sour yogurt, lemon, and apricot notes to it. Some light bready malt flavor and sweetness. Has a bit of a sour candy note, kind of like Sweet Tarts or Smarties? Some grape, a strong lactic quality, and some straw. Interesting beer.

UPDATED: JAN 30, 2019 12 oz. can from hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. Amber orangish with some off white foam and lightly active carbonation. I smell only a little funk and more malts. Nose is not very complex. First sip is indeed tart. Cherries with earth. Rich malts. The subdued funk of a kettle soured beer but I am not sure it is one. There is an herbal aspect and flowers that come mid glass. This becomes sweeter as it warms. Interesting.

Slightly hazed yellow orange. Lactic acid on the nose and flavor. Not unpleasant, just Farley one note. Not a lot going on. Light tropical funk and moderate acidity on the palate.

UPDATED: OCT 30, 2017 12 oz can poured into a pint glass. Sours ain't my gig, so my judgement of this beer is not to be taken seriously. That said, this beer is drinkable, but I'm not drinking more than one! See what you think...

blipp (13335) - California, USA - AUG 26, 2017
Can. Pours hazed orange with a white head. Crisp acidic base, some wheat, mild lemony notes, and a nice crisp tart and acidic finish. Super drinkable and a very well priced 6-pack for a sour ale.

hayduke (6095) - Eureka, California, USA - AUG 10, 2017
At the brewery during the RBSG bus tour. In my tasting glass what I would have to call orange with a white head. Nose of sour fruit. Medium body. Flavor is also sour fruit and the finish is both sour and earthy. Good.
