Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, alcohol, dried fruits, brown sugar and melasses. Taste is heavy sweet and medium bitter with a long warm, chocolate, coffee, brown sugar and dried fruity finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

UPDATED: NOV 23, 2019 A 500ml boxed bottle, bottle no. 3915 of 6000, bottled on 2nd January 2017 and with a best before date of the year 2030. Poured into a snifter glass. It was dark dark brown in colour with a thin brown head that disappeared quickly while leaving some sparse lacing. Aromas light roasty, chocolate, coffee, dark fruit, grape candy, mixed berries, brown sugar, light booze. Tastes sweet, syrupy, light roast, milk chocolate, coffee, dark fruit, cherry, mixed berries, licorice, syrupy brown sugar, and alcohol. Creamy, full bodied with soft carbonation. Overall, I loved the aroma, but it’s just about too sweet for my palate. While cold, the sweetness was toned down, but as it warmed, it got way sweeter than I prefer. Sipping it helped considering the sweetness and strong alcohol, but it was slow going.

UPDATED: JUL 1, 2019 Bottle at Hundholmen. Pours a black colour with a small beige head. Aroma of dark chocolate, chocolate truffles, liquor, coffee and creme brulee. Flavour of chocolate truffles, licorice, coffee, caramel sweetness, roasted malt, liqueur and oak. Has a slick and silky mouth feel, full-bodied and a light bitterness. Really complex and the taste just lingers and lingers.

UPDATED: JUN 8, 2019 Bottle nr 1852. Black with a light brown head. Nice and complex aroma of chocolate, dark fruits and some wooden barrels notes. Sweet with a warm chocolate and dark fruit finnish. Fantastic!

UPDATED: MAY 6, 2019 Bottle. Nose is berries, coffee, chocolate, soy sauce. Black and flat. Sweet flavor or grapes, berries, sherry notes and some hot boozy. Interesting, very fruity stout. Would like to try after a couple more years.

UPDATED: MAY 5, 2019 Bottle. Big thanks to Zach. Mild coffee nose, then lots of berries, and plenty of alc. fumes. Black with a dark tan head. Sweet initial, with berries, sugar, some soy sauce, all very tangy, with a metallic note creeping in near the finish. Thick, heavy body, and very warming. Wow! A surprise from Greece.
