UPDATED: JAN 8, 2022 4 pack at home. Dark pour. Nose is dried fruits and toffee. Taste of some caramel, fig, red wine, dates and molasses. Thinner bodied than expected. Some booze.

UPDATED: JAN 6, 2022 12 ounce bottle bought locally. A seriously dark pour. Taste has some dried fruit and plum. Slight sour finish. Slight but it's there. Maybe a little lacking in depth. Ok.

UPDATED: DEC 21, 2021 Pours brown with a compact head that dissipates quickly but leaves ample lacing; stewed plums, figs, and fruitcake on the nose; rich, complex palate with a warming, dry finish.

UPDATED: DEC 20, 2021 bottle. Clear reddish brown color. foamy tan head. Bready aroma, low fruit, low sweetness. Flavor is bready, low sweetness. Dry and dusty.

UPDATED: DEC 16, 2021 Birra dal colore tonaca di frate, non filtrata. Aromi e sapori sono di malto, caramello, prugna, uva sultanina, pane di segale. Il finale è secco e mediamente amaro.

UPDATED: DEC 13, 2021 Bottle poured a clear reddish brown with a small lasting tan head. Aromas of toffee, fig, spice and earthiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of toffee, spice, dried fruit and earthiness with a smooth dry lingering spiced dried fruit finish.

UPDATED: DEC 11, 2021 Pours murky brown with lively head. Trad belg quad bouquet is inviting. Trad belg quad flavours of caramel, malt, vanilla. But what is that twist? Cant pinpoint but it is positive. Nice

UPDATED: OCT 26, 2021 Pours clear dark brown color with tan head. Aromas of dark fruit. Raisin and plum flavors with some candi sugar. Full body with moderate carbonation.

UPDATED: OCT 19, 2021 Pours translucent mahogany with a thick and frothy buff head. Aroma delivers roast malt, syrupy, smoky, caramel and subtle fruity notes. Flavor gives smoky roast malt, syrup, dark fruit and caramel tones. Texture provides firm body and lively fizz. How 'bout them monks!

UPDATED: SEP 27, 2021 Light brown pour. Thick foam. Sweet flavor of vanilla and not too boozy. Nice balance and a palate of vanilla
