COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Unfortunately, we all know Belligerent Bob. He’s the guy that insists on fighting people twice his size, and goes from angry to sad to happy in ten minutes. The guy that breaks something every time he comes over. The guy that purposefully shotguns a beer on front of a cop. The guy that ends up sleeping on the bathroom floor. The guy you should not share this chewy, sweet barleywine with. To the Belligerent Bobs out there... you better check yourself before you wreck yourself.

Sampled from the tap at GTMW 2018. Pours a clear copper amber with a yellowish brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a lot of sweet grains with caramel, toffee, graham cracker and a bit of booziness underlying. Flavor has sweet grains, toffee, caramel and a slight booziness.

UPDATED: JUN 5, 2018 Bottle at a tasting, from notes. Pours a hazy deep amber/copper color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have sweet malts, caramel, dark fruit, spicy character, very much an English style bw, sweet, malty, good body, nice beer.

750 ml bottle. Pours a deep reddish coppe with a small off white head. Aroma of citrus, caramel, and honey notes. Mild candied fruits. Flavor is hoppy, bitter, with sweet fruit notes. Full bodied, with a nice, thick mouthfeel. Subtle, nuanced. Overall, very nice.

Excellent for style. Little fruity and pretty hoppy. Pours reddish brown with almost no head. Poured out of a bomber.

Bomber. Deep, coppery amber color with thin, off-white head. Nose is orange peel, caramel, wood (cedar), faint vanilla, and alcohol. Mouth is sticky, sweet upfront, quickly segues into bitterness, lots of candied citrus peel, peaches, some orange marmalade, toffee, malt, toasted bread, soap. Finishes warm and boozy. Improves as it warms up. Had the BA version on New Year’s Eve. I actually prefer this one by a hair, only because the subtleties aren’t masked by the bourbon part.
