COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We started with a Trappist Triple yeast culture and carefully blended Belgian pale barley malt with traditional malted wheat and oats to produce a delectable golden ale. This special brew is aged 12 weeks creating a fruity and refined taste with a huge bouqet, light body, and a very smooth, non-bitter finish. Best served at 55 degrees F.

UPDATED: DEC 12, 2021 Bottle from Total Wine in Altamonte Springs, FL. Aroma is bread, mild spiced bready things. Taste is more bread, some smooth oatiness. Not especially interesting or Belgian like but pleasant enough.

RSRIZZO (2264) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - APR 25, 2021
UPDATED: APR 25, 2021 12oz bottle courtesy of Headbanger poured into a Tulip. Color is a murky orange with a deep haze and lots of chunky floaties. Carbonation is low giving it a thin tight white head. Aroma has a note of toffee and a metallic like scent. It has a medium body with a smooth mouthfeel. Flavor is light caramel and a hint of yeasty banana backed by a very mild bitterness. Aftertaste leaves you with a Belgian yeast spice and a touch of bitterness lingering. Overall this is not one of the better Tripels I've had, it's drinkable but just not a good Tripel.

UPDATED: APR 23, 2021 This is a backlog rating from 2008 from a bottle, from notes. When I had this beer it was average to below average for the style and not something I wanted to have again or I just didn't get back to my notes because of my technology at the time, work and/or family. Words to describe this beer are citrus and apple fruit character, moderately sweet malts, light spice, ok.

floydslip (486) - Washington DC, USA - JUN 19, 2018
Perky gold-copper beer with a thin white head and loads of rising bubbles. Nose of chewing gum, lemon, and lavender. Flavor is a bit spicier with white pepper, lemongrass, and cloves over a sweet core of candied orange and cotton candy. The spice evens out the sweetness, but it does get a bit cloying after a while. Decent.
