COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The St. Sebastiaan Dark is a dark, medium to heavy high fermented abbey beer that tastes both sweet and bitter on the tongue. This St. Sebastiaan has a strong, sweet aroma of caramel and malt and gives you a full taste in the mouth. It is re-fermented on the jug and on the bottle by the brewery. The result is a nice, clear beer with a wonderful aroma and, for those who love it, a nice touch of yeast at the bottom of the bottle.

DraftDodger (5615) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - AUG 21, 2021
UPDATED: AUG 21, 2021 Copenhagen 21/8 2021. 50 cl clay bottle with swing cap from Kvickly, Vestergade, Svendborg. Bald, bearded monk contemplating a mug of beer on the bordeaux and orange label. Pours unclear, dark maroon with a big white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin - almost transparent - layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing. Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, malty odor mingling with some sourish stale rye bread. caramel and toffee. Rye bread and sour grains. A little bit metallic. Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture. Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry. A not very sweet Dubbel which avoids being overly boozy.

DocuDrinks (1555) - Riga, LATVIA - JUL 28, 2020
UPDATED: JUL 28, 2020 0.75 bottle Smell- weak malt, roast. Foam- thin, weak roast, weak sourness, kvass, bread. Feels like weird kvass. Head is large, medium-dark brown white color. Appearance - generic red bottle cap, somewhat simple label.Very dark brown, maybe bit red, medium carbonation. From - snifter Taste - roast, weak sourness, bread, kvass again, weak bitter notes, acidic. This is very weird in a bad way... feels like kvass mixed with hops and some added sourness and nuances of homebrew. Not for me.
