Pours a clear golden orange on tap with bubbly white head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma of nice earthy and citrus hop notes over a solid malt backbone. Taste has the malt up front, biscuit and a touch of caramel, with citrus and floral hop notes behind. A decent pale ale, that leans towards the IPA front.

From Aug 2007 Purchased as part of a mixed 6Pack at Wilbur's Liquors in Ft Collins Pours from 12oz bottle(best by Sept 2007) a clear medium gold and it has a small but solid head of foam that shrinks to some spotting in the middle and a ring around the edge of my glass. The smell is hoppy with grapefruit and pine. The taste is pretty darned smooth. The hop character doesn't go overboard but I get some good pine and floral hoppiness and the sweet malt that isn't so far in the background does a nice job when it comes to balance. The more I sip on it, the more balanced the flavours become and that's just fine by me. It's got a good mouthfeel to it and the finish ends up with that pine but I wouldn't describe it as being very bitter. I think this one would be a good one to go to when one isn't in the "hop head" mode. Nice stuff.

Bottle. Copper in colour. Hoppy; grassy and mildly earthy hops. Citrus-Fruity; grapefruit & lemon. Malty base; caramel and toasty malts. Nice hop/fruit/malt balance. Mildly hoppy bitterness throughout, complementing a malty sweetness. Not bad. Very drinkable. (2008)

Can- pours clear bronze color with a thick fluffy off-white head. It lingers for a while leaving tons of lace on glass. Floral Aromas with a whiff of perfume and a bit of citrus. Tastes of sweet (candy like) malt and lightly bitter hops. Medium body, perfect carbonation, smooth coating mouthfeel and a mildly bitter finish. Overall a well balanced, clean, mellow easy to drink ipa.

Originally rated on 9/10/08. "Another soild brew from steamworks, I am starting to like this brewer. 3rd eye poured a nice copper body with a thin off white cap. Nice friuty/ floral aroma was the highlight of this beer. Mouthfeel was smooth and the body was full. Flavor was different from the aroma, bready without the fruitiness, slight hop bite

Forgettable but not bad IPA. More citrus focused, with slightly heavy malty body. Okay stuff.

Clear golden color with a medium white head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of citrus, mildly spicy hops and malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a short fruity hops aftertaste. Decent overall.

Good, refreshing, and not over the top or too heavy. Well balanced, bright and citrusy hops, moderate bitterness, brilliant and clear orange color. Excellent on a warm day. Very drinkable.
