COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It’s my pleasure to present a collaboration with The Brewer’s Art. A Baltimore institution that helped to pioneer the Belgian beer movement in the States. Brewed with a combination of Spelt & Rye, accented with a blend of Heather, Honeysuckle, and Hyssop. The result is a rustic farmhouse ale displaying earthy tones & floral characteristics while maintaining intricate balance.

NOTE: This is a different beer than the version brewed at Brewer’s Art.

ElDesmadre (6779) - Jaworze, POLAND - DEC 5, 2019
UPDATED: DEC 5, 2019 Bottle, early 2018. Peach pulp, yellow plums, floral, hibiscus, herbs, candy, ephemeral earthy funk. Excellent, multi-layered aroma, while the flavour lacks in intensity. Good but also disappointing.

Grumbo (14439) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - OCT 23, 2017
Bottle from Clapton Craft. Pours golden to amber with a white head. Aroma of fruits, berries, light peach, yeast, sweet caramel and flowers. Medium towards heavy sweetness, light bitterness, just a hint of sour. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Finish is sweet, sticky and grassy. Not had many of this style, but this is the one I've enjoyed most.

MelvinKalksma (4743) - NETHERLANDS - JUN 21, 2017

Aroma:
Slight/medium aroma of malts, caramel, yeast, fruit, hops and spices.

Appearance:
Turbid/opaque orange/brown beer with no/a slight off-white head.

Taste/Palate:
Starts medium sweet with malts, caramel, yeast and fruit; ends slightly bitter and dry with hops and spices.

Overall:
This beer is rather intense, complex and balanced. Good balanced flavours, that never gets truly great at any point. Same goes for the aroma, but the appearance and palate are great.

Headless cloudy amber. Aroma is basement with pear/apple. Not sure what is heather, honeysuckle or hyssop in it, but it’s got a hibiscus/rosewater-like thing going. Carbonation is champagne esque, but with more sweetness and body. Taste adds melon and botanicals (licorice?). Pleasant, drinkable, interesting.
