UPDATED: JUN 1, 2018 Can at home, from notes. Pours dark brown in color with a medium sized beige head. The aroma and flavor have mild roasted malts, powdery chocolate, dark fruit, Belgian yeast character, decent.

Dark brown, thin head. Nice choc, touch of lightness, still a mellow tartness on the finish.

Dark, near black. Dry, lean, weak, with some roasted malt, some liquorice (it doesn’t fit at all in a weak beer), some cardboard.
Purposeless.

Sampled from tap at FDDB 2017. Clear, dark brown to black with a medium large, frothy, quickly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of milk chocolate, nuts and caramel. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty taste of caramel, dark chocolate, coffee and some licorice, followed by a medium long, moderately roasty-bitter, slightly dry finish with some blackcurrant. Medium body, slightly creamy and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Nice!

It’s not bad but it’s really not a schwarzbier which is first of all a lager. Aroma was mostly roasty toasty malt. Flavor was like nose was quite jockey and bitter and astringent. Okay for drinking but nothing special.

Dark pour, fluffy tan head. Aroma is sweet. Flavor is yeasty with dark malts. Bitter chocolate. Wet finish and a roasted aftertaste. Carbonated.

Draught at Brewers Beer Bar, Göteborg. Black beer with a nice beige head. Licorice aroma, fruity, grapes, brown sugar, some grapes. Licorice and chocolate flavor, vinous, raisins, caramel, floral notes, some spices. Kinda sweet.

355 ml can at Bar Isabel. Pours a dark orangey brown with large light tan head. Aroma is roasty with dark fruit. Flavour also roasted grains, dark fruit and a little caramel. Body verging on medium. Nice.

Can. Black with brownish head. Roasted malt aroma, dark fruit sweet flavour, yeast, chocolate, dry finish

Deep black pour. The nose is softly roasty and a little bit earthy. Some nice molasses and licorice notes with some date and a bit of cooked dark malt. Pretty nice really.
