COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Existent represents the philosophy behind Stillwater Artisanal. We strive to define ourselves through our passion and sincerity while accepting that not all aspects of life are readily explainable. To manifest this ideology we present an ale of intrigue. Deep & dark though deceptively dry, braced by a firm yet smooth bitterness and accented with an earthy hop and mild roast aroma. This is an ale for you to define..

’and if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.’ –Nietzsche

Note: Formerly brewed at Dog, now at Two Roads.

Jabah (2479) - Fairfax, Virginia, USA - MAR 15, 2019
UPDATED: MAR 15, 2019 Revied 3/24/13- A true farmhouse ale. Wish I could have had a little more of this to get a true sample, but we were tasting a lot of different stuff during a recent camping/musicfest. Dark brown appearance with some redish tint. Thicker feel. Earthy/grassy flavors, yet some malt behind it, and decently hopped ending. Balanced well....something I would look for in the future for sharing.

Backlog, bottle split with Pat in ’11. Pours a thick brown color with small to medium head. Notes of vanilla bean, fresh bread, toffee, malt, and sweet dried fruits. Mouthfeel was medium to full with a warming finish. Enjoyable belgian from Stillwater

Medium brown, tart and maybe a fair bit of coffee. With a tartness, it’s not my favourite.

stantheman (2015) - British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 12, 2017
On tap takeover at Darby’s Gastown in Vancouver. A dark brown beer with a bit of off-white head and faintly fruity nose. Dried fruit notes up front, trace of roasted malt in the background. A bit sweet with low bitterness. 3.9

Holdwine (1245) - Beertimore, Maryland, USA - MAY 25, 2017
Nice, dark, slightly musty, dry pour. 7.4% is a bit high, but still pleasant for a Belgian Ale.

JPDIPSO (6618) - Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA - APR 29, 2017
Dark, slightly woody hops. Somewhat flat in feel. Mild pine. Damn lent starts in 4 minutes… Good by beer. 3/11.

unclemike (3307) - Junction City Kansas, Kansas, USA - MAR 30, 2017
Dark brown pour with a thin tan head. Bitter vinous fruit nose (like white grape) along with some roasted malt. Flavor starts with bitter fruit rind, then turns to malty roastiness with some chocolate before a burnt coffee finish.
