J_man (1166) - Tustin, California, USA - APR 10, 2021UPDATED: APR 10, 2021 This is yet another of my 'collection' of Vertical Epics that I kept for too long. This one starts off with a juicy fruit aroma with pronounced pineapple and Belgian yeast/ale. The body is a slightly cloudy pale yellow/orange with a very small ring of foam around the edge of the glass. The fruity aroma follows into the taste, but I can immediately tell that this was probably less muddled fruit and more crisp and malty when it was fresh. Now that I see this was a Saison/Golden triple mix, I can totally get what that was and it's still there, just muted and dulled a bit. There's some Belgian spiciness there and a bit of lime in the background. I think the true flavor is coming out more as I go, so perhaps this wasn't as lost as I thought. The alcohol is definitely there, but it doesn't seem as high as it actually is which makes this very easy to drink. There's some malt coming out in the aftertaste when the sweetness subsides. A vegetal bitterness and lasting fruit sweetness is left behind. While this turned out to be pretty tasty after all this time, I wish I could go back and try it 10 years ago to compare.
raymow (2693) - Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 18, 2019UPDATED: SEP 18, 2019 bottled courtesy of Pat the accountant - dark golden color. Boozy Belgian aroma and flavor.
nickd717 (7568) - San Francisco, California, USA - MAR 19, 2017Bottle thanks to Evil Jason. Had this before but didn’t rate. Clear golden with a nice white head. Aroma is very herbal, thyme, ginger, cardamom, some citrus and Belgian yeast. Flavor is sweet and malty, honey, tangerine, lots of herbal notes. Medium-full bodied with average carbonation. Decent.
Hoprider (1125) - DENMARK - MAY 1, 2016Pours hazy dark golden N: clay, ginger, lactic tartness. Odd T: taste works better than the nose at this point. Sweet sirupy and yeasty taste. In the aftertaste the ginger shows again and makes it weird again. Funny but odd..
Enjoyit (3807) - Vadum, DENMARK - MAY 1, 2016Clear copper of color with a off white head. An aroma of spice, sweets, mead and orange. Oxidixed aroma. A flavor of spice, honey, mead, sweets and orange.

DavoleBomb (1867) - Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 11, 2016Had this sometime at the end of 2012, as part of a 03.03.03 - 12.12.12 tasting. I had meant to enter these a while ago while they were fresh and add a few extra details, but that didn’t happen. Review from notes. Anyway, here we go.
3.0 A: Murky, light orange color. Not much of a head formed.
3.5 S: A pineapple entered the fighting ring, got beat up, put on a bunch of band aids, and jumped into the fermenter. Super fruity with mango, orange, and papaya backing up the pineapple. Peppery spiciness. Despite the band aids, it’s not bad. It smells like an old tripel.
3.5 T: Like the nose. Stale pineapple with all the other fruits mentioned. Peppery spiciness, light banana, and peach. Lots of fruits and quite spicy.
3.5 M: Medium body. Pleasant spritzy carbonation. Nice here.
3.0 D: Reasonably tasty. Not bad for an old beer.

jandd1983 (6872) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - DEC 7, 2015Bottle. It poured a deep copper color with a white head. The aroma was of yeasty spices, ginger, cinnamon and sweet caramel maltiness. The taste was similar to the aroma with more spices, ginger, some fruitiness and yeastiness. Good stuff.
tysongillmore (362) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - NOV 21, 2015Like the Saisan flavor. Lemony, peppery, slight belgian banana, honey. Pretty good shit.

Wombata (631) - Kobe, JAPAN - AUG 24, 2015Aroma: Intense, concentrated bouquet of candied ginger and herbs, orange and orange peel.
Palate: Full body
Flavor: Honeyed ginger, herb--cardamon, floral citrus, more honey. Long, long finish.
Comment: Great integration and full flavor and mouth feel, Though I have never tried a young version of this, I imagine that the fruit and sweetness has dried out considerable and it a good way.
