FatPhil (22608) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JAN 30, 2021UPDATED: JAN 30, 2021 Tap (Koht, Tallinn) (5:2:5:2:10=2.4)
Apparently a 'hazy IPA', but completely clear - hoorah for production quality, or just knowing what the fuck you're brewing! Pale gold. Slightly acidic sour-grains aroma, starchy. Taste is the sugar and starch of children's breakfast cereals. I want to scrape my tongue after this.

Sweet pale malts backbone. Grassy and very citrus bitterness. Good bittersweet balance. Not very persistent bitterness. Medium body and carbonation. Pineapple afteraste. Good drinkability. Great IPA. I didn't know that we could use quince on beers.... :/
bartlebier (4526) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - NOV 21, 2018multiple 50cl cans, fresh and a few months old. Served at #What'sBrewing IV. - - A quince-essential autumn fruit that's starting to get rare from the several waves of rediscovery - good on Stone/HC to introduce it into German brewing. - - First can poured extremely hazy and murky with chunky UFOs - must be the quince compote mit Stückchen or a coagulating effect with the low-flocculating yeast...? Later pours didn't have this...temp/aging? - Ar: impressionistically fragrant, much like a few quinces in a bowl subtly perfuming the livingroom, ambient-style. Sweeter pear and then damp hop resins coming through. MF and flavours well-rounded, going on pectine-sweet of a stonefruit, mildly resinous IPA. Late sweet grasses and above par drinkability with a typical quincepeel bitterness joiing the gentler stewed orchard fruit sweetness without getting too soggy - even if there is a sense that something even more dialed-into NEIPA territory had been targeted.
