This deep amber ale has rich & roasty malt flavors, a big hoppy character, citrus overtones (courtesy of the hops and our special brewers yeast) and modest alcohol.

From Jul 2007 Purchased as part of a mixed 6pack at Wilbur's Liquors in Ft Collins. This pours from 12oz bottle a nice clear deep amber with a large head of foam that recedes slowly leaving a few small islands near the center and it has some lacing. The smell is hoppy. I get a lot of grapefruit but I also get some caramel malt. The taste on first sip is kind of strange. The initial flavour is rather empty of flavour, kind of watery but then, thankfully, the grapefruit hoppy goodness moves in near and through the finish though it's at a subdued level. Hey, this is only 4.4%abv so I expected some kind of reduction in what was going to hit my taste buds and it sure makes this Ale a good for sessioning candidate *if* the flavour that's there is enough to please. Imho, it passes that test. I'd buy it again.

A very solid amber ale. Plenty of malty body, typical of an easy drinking amber, but it has a nice grassy hop punch as well.

Draft Third of a Pint at GBBF 2009 (Day 1), Earl’s Court, London Aug 2009 - And Bottle - Deep Amber in colour. Malty base/backbone; roasty malts, caramel. Hoppy; big grapefruit citrus hop flavours; grassy hops. Nice malt/hops balance. Dry hoppy finish. Much hoppier than expected. Surprisingly flavoursome for a low-ABV beer. Very drinkable. Nice beer! Punaisenruskea kirkas olut paksulla, höttöisellä ja pitsiä jättävällä vaahdolla. Kaunis olut.

UPDATED: APR 16, 2016 Thanks Lagzibacsi! Light brown. Very sweet flaky malty aroma. Sweet syrup on the nose. Long sweet malts and mild bitterness. Really sessionable. Balanced nice a bit sweet for me, but a good 12 pack beer.
