UPDATED: OCT 18, 2021 [Tasting - Aarhus] [Vintage 2016] Aroma: Lots of vanilla, waffles, ice cream, black berries, raspberries, strawberries, blueberries and barrel notes Appearance: Dark intense brown/red with no head Taste: Heavily sweet and moderately acidic, lots of vanilla, waffles, ice cream, honey, dark cherries, black berries, raspberries, oaky, strawberries and blueberries Mouthfeel: Smooth thick mouthfeel with creamy texture and no carbonation Overall: Really complex and dessert forward! Best mead tasted so far 😋.

UPDATED: MAR 20, 2020 Bottle from a friend. Crimson color, no head. Sweet taste with raspberry, honey, blueberry, strawberry, white chocolate, a bit of tart, oak and sugar. Sweet finish with raspberry, blueberry, strawberry, white chocolate, a bit of tart, oak and honey. Exquisite mead.

UPDATED: MAR 20, 2020 375ml bottle. Sweet, heavy with berry juice, vanilla, honey, toffee, oak, sherry and blueberries. Nice one.

UPDATED: AUG 13, 2019 Keg at Beaverex 2018, day one, 07/09/18. Rich raspberry red with no head offered. Nose is big sweet berries, blackcurrant lockets, sweet exhaust, sugars. Taste comprises sweet berries, honey, sugars, blueberry pulp. Full bodied, oily feel, warming alcohol. Ok but overly sweet for my liking.

UPDATED: JUL 11, 2019 Deep violet in color with ruddy edges, holding few small bubbles, and clear. Lots of berry, tart, roast and cocoa in the nose. Sticks a bit on the tongue. Wow.

UPDATED: JUN 3, 2019 Shared bottle. Pours reddish purple. Aroma of fruit, berries, and chocolate. Taste is strawberry, blackberry, raspberry, and chocolate. Delicious.

Pours deep red without a head. Aroma has notes of honey, berry, vanilla, hint of tartness and alcohol. Taste is heavy sweet and light sour with a long warm, berry and vanilla finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is flat.

Aroma is sweet notes of musty berries, fruit peel, forest berries, jam and candy, as well as vanilla, tannins and notes of cocoa and wood. Creamy body, with no carbonation. Flavour is sweet notes of forest berries, musty fruits, jam and minerals, as well as vanilla, tannins, honey and wooden barrels.
