UPDATED: JUL 29, 2021 RBSG 2017. Clear dark red pour with nice clarity. Intense aroma that is basically just liquid strawberry jam. Sweet vanilla, honey, and a light fruity acidity. Slight cocoa in there? Full bodied and certainly leaves a bit of a coating on the tongue. Maybe a touch of boozy heat at warmer temperatures? Overall, pretty good for those who like the hyper-fruited dessert style meads.

UPDATED: APR 4, 2020 Refrigerated 75 cL clear flip-top bottle poured into a snifter. Translucent dark red. Aroma is strawberry, medium body, and syrupy texture. Taste is strawberry, sweet honey, and a little vanilla.

UPDATED: MAR 14, 2020 14/3/2020. Bottle sample courtesy of danlo, cheers Ed! Pours dark purple brown with minimal head. Aroma of strawberry, blackberry, blueberry, citrus, vanilla, honey and flowers. Medium sweetness and light tartness. Medium to full body, oily sticky texture, soft to flat carbonation.

UPDATED: FEB 26, 2020 750ml bottle, rated on Shrove Tuesday 2020. Batch No. 520 Bottle 3 of 1125. Dark red colour, afew bubbles on top and jammy strawberry aroma, some booze. Taste is sweet, honey, berry, jammy, strawberry, vanilla, sugary and boozy. Medium bodied, low carbonation, semi-dry berry finish with lingering sweetness. Very sippable.

UPDATED: SEP 8, 2019 Blood red color.. this is very sweet with a thick palate. Some strawberry and lots of sugar.

UPDATED: AUG 3, 2019 Flaska från SB. Mörk rödlila. Väldigt mycket jordgubbssylt, rejäl sötma som balanseras något av en viss strävhet och väldigt tydlig jordighet. Gott, men blir kanske lite väl mycket jordgubbssylt och inte så mycket annat.

UPDATED: JUN 8, 2019 Received as an extra in a trade and shared with JLindros. Batch 1 #767/1075. Poured a nice crystal clear hazy ruby hue with light wisps. The nose is super floral strawberries and vanilla, almost potpourri like. Taste is similar to the nose with more juicy jammy strawberries. Little bit of sweet vanilla. Nice mouthfeel, little slick but the alcohol is hidden nicely. Overall like every mead I've had from Superstition that wasn'tBelgian yeast or sugar based it's just excellently crafted. Love this mead.

UPDATED: FEB 17, 2019 750 ml flip top bottle. Pours a very murky, dark red color with no real legging. The aroma shows notes of fresh strawberries, strawberry jam, creamy vanilla, and semi-sweet honey. The flavor follows suit with the fresh sweet strawberries and creamy vanilla up front followed by the semi sweet honey and some berry tartness on the finish. Medium bodied and slick on the mouthfeel with no carbonation that leads to a sweet strawberry and vanilla finish with lingering notes of honey and tart berries. Solid strawberry mead here.

UPDATED: DEC 23, 2018 Bottle thanks to Dak. Pours a dark purple color. A huge bursting nose, clear strawberries, amazing. Rich strawberry flavor, sweet, a bit of tart notes too. Maybe a hint of chocolates. Very good, one element but that one is great.
