4/29/2015 poured into a pint glass on tap at Churchville Inn. A~ dark as night with a tan nitro like head. lots of lace... S~ beautiful roasty coffee and some smoked malts on the back end. hmm... T~ whoa crazy interesting, it really opens up here... aside from slightly following the nose hahaha! amazing thick honey all flows into smoked coffee beans! yes! M~ decent carb but sooo smooth and silky kind of like Birth of Tragedy. it really stays with you for a while. O~ this is one crazy colab.! not gonna lie i don’t believe i’ve had anything from the other 2 breweries but if this is any recollection of what they’re like, i’m down! seriously awesome all around, glad i got to try this unique brew!

Fat på Bishop Gustav, Malmö. Smak och doft av choklad, chokladfugde, kaffe med toner av rök. Fin beska, rund och fyllig, bra balans, lagom sötma. Mycket gott!

Draught Bishop Gustav, Malmö. Kraftfull porter med riktigt stor kropp och fylliga runda smaker aningen åt det söta hållet. Massor av choklad och chokladfudge, kaffe och aningens aning rökighet och måttlig beska stramar upp smakbilden bra. Maffigt med stora smaker och riktigt gott

From draft it’s clear dark brown with a short and disjointed head. Aroma impression is dark chocolate and roast with lighter touches of char and subdued smoke that comes across a faint peat/earth/soil. In the mouth it’s surprisingly light, medium to medium-light bodied and effervescent and lightly sweet in the finish where the honey seems to show it’s influence (slick and filmy). Fermentation is clean and the mouth feel and flavor balance are enjoyable, only the malt seems a bit shallow and the carbonation could be less grating/disjointed... something fine and supple would better compliment the relatively light body.

Draught at Beer Ditch, Malmö, Sweden. Black with beige head. Roasted coffee, some smoked sausage, chocolate. Full bodied, medium carboantion. Semi dry, medium bitterness.

Black with a dense, creamy tan head. Aroma is roasted malts, hints of smoke, ash, licorice, cocoa, some nutty and earthy notes. Taste is medium sweet with hints of toffee, licorice and prunes, smooth creamy rounded roasted bitter finish with hints of ash, cocoa and light smoked notes. Very creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation.

Visuel : Couleur : noire-brune. Apparence : quasi-opaque.
Arôme : Malt rôti, légère fumée de bois et de tourbe, léger chocolat, petites notes fruitées (raisins).
Goût : En entrée de bouche : Notes fruitées (petits fruits foncés) avec quelques trace de réglisse noire. Une dominante de malt rôti légèrement fumé (bois et tourbe) est présente avec un léger goût de chocolat, des notes de café, de caramel et de houblon herbeux.
En bouche : Corps : moyen. Effervescence : moyenne. Texture : moyennement crémeuse. Finale : moyenne-longue, composée d’une légère amertume de rôti et de houblon herbeux avec des notes d’alcool, de chocolat et de fumée.

Silky black; early aroma offers anise, sarsaparilla, cinnamon. Gaminess, honey, graham like malt. The flavor, similarly, is built on sugar and spice, and can lean toward thinness. Cherry compote, butterscotch and salty graham cracker crust bring an ascendant, cloying sweetness which ultimately is not in balance with the astringent coffee ground, bitter chocolate, dark meat framing. High carbonation and insubstantial body to support, and a noticeable coating of residual sugar is there in the end.

Sample at Örebro Öl & Whisky 2015. Dark malty smell with chocolate. Similar taste, milky. Nice chocolate malty aroma.

Descent porter. Pretty weak aroma. Good flavor. Black friday blackout coming to an end.
