DraftDodger (5615) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAY 25, 2021
UPDATED: MAY 25, 2021 Copenhagen 25/5 2021. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Rotunden, Hellerup. Old medieval style drawing of fellow gobbling beer from a drinking horn. Pours opaque, hazy amber with a small off-white head. Settles as thin patchy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. No lacing. Aroma is medium intense with a sweet caramel-like odor mingling with a spicy herbal scent. Caramel and toffee. Herbal tea. Light carbonation. Medium thick, soft, lightly tingling texture. Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish and lingers for a bit. Finish is a bit sweet and watery. They apparently liked their beer quite sweet in medieval times.
