ttoadee (3175) - Austin, Texas, USA - DEC 28, 2021
UPDATED: DEC 28, 2021 Medium gold pour, decent off white head. Nose is malt and floral. Middle shows a hardy malt backbone, light caramel, bitter pine, punchy citrus. Finish is spicy resin with some length. Good beer.

UPDATED: JUN 17, 2021 Draft at Ford's Garage in St Augustine, FL What a great ale matched with burgers. The ale poured a clear gold color with a creamy foamy head and lacing. The head had good retention. The floral aroma from the hops selection was seductive. The taste was full of citrus and hints of pine resin. The ale has a medium body and average carbonation. This is the best IPA I had in Florida during our stay. o

UPDATED: JAN 15, 2021 Amber color, good foaming head, off to a good start. Bright hop forward nose, some general citrus elements, resiny. Flavor is more balanced, with a caramel and bready malt element equal to the mostly resiny hop flavors. Medium bitterness and semi-dry to balanced at the finish. solidfunk said it was a nice old school IPA and I'd have to agree on both counts, its nice, and old school, reminds me a great deal of the early 2000s IPAs, esp the east coast ones. Take home message here is that this does nothing to distinguish itself particularly, outside of being a solid all around hoppy beer, and there's nothing wrong with that. As they say, it dranks purty good.

UPDATED: AUG 24, 2020 Nice grapefruit. Pours golden with good head and lacing. Some caramel, bitter end. Nice old school IPA. A little too much sweetness at the end like you’ve just been lied to.

UPDATED: MAY 27, 2020 Can. Poured clear dark golden color with an average frothy white head that lasted with very good lacing. Moderate hoppy balanced aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Moderate bittersweet flavor with a moderate bittersweet finish of medium duration. This session beer met my expectations.

UPDATED: OCT 18, 2019 Can (12oz). Mostly clear with thin white head. Carbonation is a little lower than expected. Pine and citrus aroma. Taste is heavy on the malts and strong tropical. Leans more toward a double ipa in my opinion.
