AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20 billb (245) - Acworth, Georgia, USA - DEC 9, 2001The draught version I had awhile back was horrendous (not sure why) but a fresh bottle from my local convenience store showed me what I missed. HUGE hop and malty flavors. The maltiness is warming almost like a scottish ale and then makes way for a big hop presence. A surprisingly great IPA from an area that is relatively void of producing any sort of outstanding beer.
Draught rating: I had this one on tap and as it warmed, it had the distinct flavor and aroma of cough medicine. I could not finish it. However, the body, carbonation and the maltiness up front were quite nice. I'm not sure what happened and maybe the establishment that served it to me was to blame. Score 1.8
damzz (804) - Methuen, Massachusetts, USA - JAN 8, 2022UPDATED: JAN 8, 2022 Pours as orange-yellow with a full white lacing head. Nose from the bottle is a blast of dankness. In the glass, it is attenuated. Body is full with good mouthfeel. Taste is malt with citrus. Aftertaste is bitter and lingering. 12oz bottle 12/21 Beer Across America Selection
ajnepple (12995) - Lakewood, CO, Colorado, USA - NOV 4, 2021UPDATED: NOV 4, 2021 Clear bronze appearance with an everlasting beige head. Aroma of pine, mild floral notes and light toasty malts. Similar taste, adding moderate hop bitterness and mild malt sweetness. Soft mouthfeel with a smooth balanced finish. Solid IPA overall.
markoijelena (4745) - Belgrade / Amsterdam, SERBIA - OCT 24, 2021UPDATED: OCT 24, 2021 Draft 0.25l at Bierlokaal de Uiver, Haarlem, The Netherlands. 22.10.2021. Pour it hazy golden color with medium white head. Aroma orange and light herbal, oxidation really present. Taste herbal, light cardboard, some tangerine and orange, pretty old I believe.

BroSpud (2643) - , Massachusetts, USA - AUG 5, 2021UPDATED: AUG 5, 2021 12oz can. This is one of those benchmark IPAs that you can't go wrong with. Easy drinking, tastes great quality beverage. Nothing crazy over the top or especially unique but very good.
sigfloyd1 (6) - Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, USA - JUL 28, 2021 does not count UPDATED: JUL 28, 2021 Attractive “tail-light” amber, slightly brackish aroma, crisp hoppy attack, bitterness is lasting. I’d describe this as a solid straight-down-the-fairway IPA, not extremely unique (and positively, not over the top wacko bitterness). Good as appetizer beer with eg. nuts or Ritz crackers and blue cheese, or would work as the main with Cajun-spiced seafood or simply prepared steak, but not with creamy sauces. 6.3% alcohol which is a good starter level. Enjoyed at home.
Speko (1055) - DENMARK - JUL 14, 2021UPDATED: JUL 14, 2021 Pours slightly hazy orange with small head. Malt, grass, some citrus, caramel. Medium body and average carbonation.
kata.u (109) - Nagoya, JAPAN - FEB 21, 2021UPDATED: FEB 21, 2021 Clear copper color. Citrus aroma. Well balanced zesty bitterness and sweetness. Juicy and refreshing beer.
AbbeyRoade (877) - Missouri, USA - NOV 29, 2020UPDATED: NOV 29, 2020 Compared to the delicious extra pale ale (420), this is more sour and even less sweet. Still juicy but not as easily enjoyed.
