COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An American original reimagined. Sit yourself down at the bar, and sip on our rye imperial pale ale aged in Heaven Hill bourbon barrels. For our latest barrel aged concoction, we decided to pay homage to one of the original, classy cocktails that would truly test our ability to balance flavours. What’s more, it’s in 660ml bottles, hand labelled, and wax dipped for a beer sure to impress. The Old Fashioned takes our well-loved orange and ginger double IPA, and infuses it with the smooth, warming, vanilla character of Heaven Hill’s famous Kentucky straight bourbon. That whiskey warmth and flavour brings out the sweeter notes in the orange and ginger, but the hops give that distinct bitterness you’d expect in the cocktail itself. It has also been conditioned in bottle, allowing it to develop a rich, smooth texture that goes down a treat. Brewers Note: the Old Fashioned’s base is a pale ale with lots of hops and citrus fruits. It will not benefit from extended aging; we have matured it in barrels for you already. Drink now for maximum freshness and enjoyment.

UPDATED: JUL 23, 2020 33cl fles. (Batch #003) Donker amberkleurig bier met crème kleurig schuim. Geur: gedroogd en gemacereerd fruit, dadels, vijg, chocolade, wat stoffig, alcoholisch. Smaak: alcoholisch, licht zoet, aards, lichte hopbitterheid. Medium koolzuurprikkel.

UPDATED: APR 11, 2020 Bursztynowe, praktycznie klarowne piwo o średniej pianie, która z czasem redukuje się do zera. Aromat wanilia, beczka, słód, w skrócie whisky. W smaku lekko słodkie, trochę alkoholowe i znowu whisky. Goryczka średnia w stronę wysokiej. Ogólnie genialne piwo o bardzo fajnym smaku i aromacie.

UPDATED: MAR 31, 2020 In the glass, a murky red/brown with a frothy white head.
Nose is pleasantly simple. Lots of sweet marmalade, very light ginger, bourbon.
Palate is moderate and smooth.
Taste is fruity and bitter, tannins and hop sharpness. Not too complex but refreshing and tasty with none of the booze showing.

UPDATED: FEB 28, 2020 Pours dark copper colored with a moderate dense head. Aroma of light rye bread and far away some orange. Not really the BA I expected.

UPDATED: FEB 28, 2020 Bottle 33cl. Reddish with a small beige head. Bourbon aroma, not a lot of aroma but something sweet. Firm taste, barrel ageing, alcohol, sweet and some spices. Long finish.

UPDATED: FEB 3, 2020 Clear deep mahogany, off-white head. Dark caramel toasty low sugar malts, lots of smooth Bourbon goodness. Similar taste - some caramel malț base and very strong dried fruit / fortified wine / aged spirit character. No hops to talk about - only some unpleasant woody old remnants. Moderate warming alcohol. Smooth, low carbonated, velvety oily body. No complaints, as fine as they go.

UPDATED: JAN 11, 2020 Couleur rouge/brune limpide du plus bel effet. Mousse légère et éphémère. Nez magistral sur le raisin sec, le caramel, la vanille et le Bourbon. On pourrait croire un Barley Wine en fait. En bouche même topo, fruits secs, raisin sec, caramel, vanille, Bourbon. Corps modéré, notes légèrement alcooleuses à la longue. Bonne amertume en fin de bouche. Orange et gingembre pas vraiment perceptible. D'abord magnifique, j'avoue que l'effet 'wow' s'estompe un peu avec le temps.

UPDATED: DEC 20, 2019 33cl fles. Helder donker amber van kleur. Fijne romige witte schuimkraag. De geur is tropisch fruit en karamel. Smaak is zoet, licht whisky, tropisch fruit en rogge. Medium body en weinig koolzuur.
