UPDATED: NOV 22, 2020 Subtile aromas of raisins and some roasted caramel. Well balanced flavours of raisins, red fruits, hint of vanilla, roasted and earthy notes, caramel, subtle citric sourness and liquorice. Nice hoppy finish. Smooth, but quite rich and firm. Medium body. Quite a good seasonal bock.

UPDATED: SEP 15, 2020 Donkerbruin/donkerrood bier met een beige schuimkraag. Moutig met smaken van koffie, zoethout en een vleugje donkere chocolade. Zoet in aanzet, welke overgaat in een subtiele moutbitterheid. Beetje droog in de mond.

UPDATED: MAY 15, 2020 Bottle from Beerwulf. Pours a murky very dark brown colour with a thin to medium sized creamy beige head. Nice lacing. Aromas of chocolate, nuts, caramel and roasty notes. Taste has more of the same notes as the aroma with added dry dark fruits coming through. Medium bodied and a fairly smooth very slightly oily mouthfeel. Nice one

UPDATED: JAN 7, 2020 Bock de 7 % abv, en format 30 cl, avec de l'eau des dunes. Mon exemplaire était à 5 mois avant sa date. Couleur acajou profond aux reflets roux, et opacité assez forte. Mousse beige, à fins flocons, en nappage à 1 mm. Arômes de malt grillé, avec une fine pointe de baies sauvages. 1ère bouche souple, sur un bel ensemble malt/baies. Arrière-bouche qui présente une belle amertume, bien intégrée au sujet. 2ème bouche avec une belle présence, bien équilibrée. Arrière-bouche aux mêmes nuances. Longueur qui est jolie et agréable, mais très linéaire. Jambes à flocons moyens, assez courtes. Levure correcte. Alcool bien, mais il n'arrive pas à trouver de développement sur la longueur. Finale fine, mais sans nouveauté. CONCLUSION : un très beau bock, mais qui ne crée rien de mieux sur la longueur .. ceci le pénalise quelque peu. (7/3/7/3/15)

UPDATED: OCT 31, 2019 Dark brownish. Bread, toast and caramel aroma. Lightly sweet and toasty. Light-medium bodied.

UPDATED: MAY 1, 2019 Rubinowe-brązowe piwo z solidną pianą. Aromat karmel, toffi, w tle rodzynki. W smaku karmel, ciemne owoce, brązowy cukier, akcenty chlebowe. Finisz lekko słodki, pojawiają się też nuty wytrawne. Solidny, dobry ciemny koźlak

UPDATED: APR 10, 2019 Lightly burnt toasted malt aroma and flavour. Light carbonation. Head disappears quickly. Some notes of coffee.

UPDATED: FEB 18, 2019 Beetje een tegenvaller, dit Bock bier uit Texel. Het zoet smaakt chemisch en de afdronk is flauw.
