On tap at the brewery. Yellow color. Low bitterness. Mild aroma. Light caramel sweetness. A hint of booze. Fairly good. Clean.

Not bad for house trippel; I'm impressed anyone in this city even bothers making beers in house that aren't IPAs. It's a very clean, mild trippel. Slight honey on the nose; orange and sweet citrus on the tongue. Finishes with a light candy coating.

A nice tripel. Pours an ugly yellow. Smells like classic tripel. Taste is classic tripel, with some honey and maybe a bit of peach. Had on tap at the brewery. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a fairly clear golden orange color with a small white head. Sugar is the first thing to hit the nose. Plenty of banana and spice, mostly clove, with a touch of booze. Some citrus peel, pear, and a light cotton candy aroma. The flavor is quite sweet with table sugar, cotton candy, and bubblegum notes on the palate. Some nice fruity flavors of banana, pear, and apple with a touch of sweet cider. A hint of booze is there on the back end.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden yellow to light orange with a small white head. Aroma is dry and phenolic. Light malty note. Sweet caramel malty, light phenolic and mild yeasty spiced. Sweet and caramelish finish.

Pours a transparent deep golden brass with a thin, wispy white head. Aroma of sweet biscuity pale malt and light fruity esters and Belgian yeastiness. Starts with good sweet biscuity malt and complex strawberry fruitiness along with a touch of tartness before a slightly warming finish. A pretty decent tripel.

SamGamgee (2452) - down the whirlpool, California, USA - APR 18, 2008
Draught at the brewpub. Hazy gold color with a big white head. Yeast and pineapple aroma. Lots of yeast again in the aroma, with spice and tart, tropical fruitiness. Full and smooth body. More belgian character than the abbey ale, and pretty nice for the style.

Draft at brewery, 02/18/08. 9.0% ABV for this batch. Clear, darkish golden pour. Still retained some head and active carbonation ten minutes after it arrived. Slight banana and clove aromas. Very sweet. Some spicy yeast character. Some kind of grape or fig flavor, as well as some bubblegum notes. No trace of alcohol flavor. Nicely done, but not world class.

Tasted at brewery. Yellow amber with no head. Malty citrus and honey aroma and taste with a grainy bready finish.

Tap at the brewpub

Golden pour; yeast and honey aroma. Flavor is sweet: overripe mango and ricola herbal honey drops. Savory offnutes, diacetyl, ultra buttery. Palate is smooth but oily; basically a failed effort.
