COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Grey Monday is a special, limited edition version of our Black Tuesday imperial stout to which we’ve added hazelnuts to the barrels while the beer ages. Originally concocted for a molecular gastronomy dinner at a favorite Orange County restaurant a few years ago, this variation on our already popular stout was an instant hit both among the restaurant diners and our own staff, begging to be brewed again and bottled up.

UPDATED: DEC 9, 2019 Bottle shared at our Novi share. Thanks superspak! Pours a pitch black with a quickly dissipating half finger of brown foam. Big bourbon focused nose with cacao nib, roasted coffee and chocolate malt aromas. Toasted hazelnut Frangelico notes as it warms. Boozy on the palate with lots of bourbon heat and chocolate. As the alcohol fades the hazelnut lingers. A beast of a beer.

TimE (8459) - Tokyo, JAPAN - NOV 29, 2019
UPDATED: NOV 29, 2019 Dark brown color. Virtually no head. Decent hazelnut, vanilla, oak, sweet molasses, brown sugar. Massive bourbon, hazelnuts have subdued and body is modestly thin. Boozy, but not massively so. Still very sweet. Warming finish. Just big. Not bad, but not a masterpiece

2016 bottle. Pours black with beige head. Huge caramel, hazelnut and cocoa aroma. Taste is still a little boozy but good for its ridiculously high ABV. Lots of hazelnut on the flavor with molasses, caramel, butterscotch, cocoa, bourbon. Delicious huge beer. Definitely a sipper. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
