COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A beer with a complexity which comes from the use of six different varieties is layered to give notes of chocolate, coffee and general roasted goodness they continue. On and on. And on. There’s a healthy addition of oatmeal that lends the beer a full bodied experience along with a velvet like texture which works in harmony with a beer of this calibre.

UPDATED: JAN 7, 2019 way too light brown color. Very light brown head. Light roastiness. Very smooth. Excellent oatmeal, roasted malt and chocolate character. Super smooth because it’s on nitro (but the taproom doesn’t tell you)

Keg - The Shakey, Surry Hills, Sydney. Poured black with slight ruddy hues on the edge and a tall, thick and creamy tan head. Dark fruits, oats, vanilla, liquorice, roasted malts, choc and coffee. Rich, smooth and creamy on the palate. Medium to full body, soft carbonation, an oily mouthfeel and a moderate length and intensity bitterness to finish.

ComradeK (1837) - North-Western Ontario, Ontario, CANADA - APR 21, 2017
Draught at the brewery. Pours an opaque black, with a small tan head, which lasts reasonably well and leaves good lacing. The aroma offers black coffee, chocolate and toasty malt notes. Very mild citrus hops give way to roasty malt and coffee in the mid-palate, with a dry finish, offering dark chocolate notes. Not the most complex oatmeal stout, but a satisfying beer nonetheless.
