Carlisle (1406) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 2, 2019Bottle (1 pint 6 oz). Pours golden amber with off-white and lacing. Earthy pine and grapefruit aroma. Biscuity malt with earthy pine followed by watermelon and a bit of apricot. Medium-full body. Long, dry finish.
weihenweizen (6384) - Charleston, West Virginia, USA - JAN 25, 2019UPDATED: JAN 25, 2019 Refrigerated brown bomber from shrubber85 poured into a glass. Clear copper with medium off-white head. Aroma is pine hops, medium body, medium carbonation, and pretty good small-bubble lacing. Taste is caramel malt, pine hops, pine resin, and bitter finish. True to the style, but something I enjoy.
drpimento (6063) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 2, 2018UPDATED: DEC 2, 2018 A really dialed in hoppy amber. Aromas are fresh mild resin hops and a little toffee malt. Flavors are like nose, fairly balanced with an easy lingering bitter finish. Very nice beer.
ccex (1960) - Lansing, Illinois, USA - NOV 20, 2018Bomber pours a slighty hazy medium amber with lasting off-white head. Aroma is full of citrus and floral hops with some bready malts. Taste is bitter with a long fruity and resinous but dry finish - similar to many other Three Floyds pale ales. Body is medium with average carbonation and a sticky mouthfeel. I asked myself "what was THAT?" after each sip. I have become so used to mediocre amber ales that I feared this would be one of the lesser offerings from Three Floyds. My expectations were exceeded with another winner from this brewery.
pinkzambia (2196) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JUN 28, 2018Bottle: Semi-cloudy with a light tan head. All hops in the aroma. Green hops in the flavor with some hairspray on finish. This is definitely an IPA. I see why Amber is smash faced.
hershiser2 (7469) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - JUN 25, 2018Draft pour at Taphouse on the Edge. Pours golden with a small soft white head that has lasted through 3 other 5 oz pours. Aroma is very nice fresh citrus, floral hops, orange, grapefruit. Flavor is malty citrus, pine, floral hops, caramel. All very nice - melds extremely well together.
