hauxe (3004) - Butzbach, GERMANY - AUG 9, 2021UPDATED: AUG 9, 2021 Bottle courtesy of Virby44. Cheers! 2018 vintage. Dark, dark brown with a light brown head. Decadent aroma: prunes, raisins, burnt grains. The vanilla is there and the coffee too, but the actual additives are very restrained. Taste is mildly sweet. Finishes dry with a light warmth. Full bodied, mild carbonation, extremely smooth. A pastry stout that’s not an oversweet mess. Very good!
coachd (2388) - O'Fallon, Missouri, USA - JUL 4, 2021UPDATED: JUL 4, 2021 2015 version, purple wax. Pours a very dark brown color and still has a good amount of head, also dark brown. Aroma has plum, fig, raisin, some coffee, oak and booze. Tastes like milk chocolate and vanilla up front, with the more bitter characteristics (coffee, booze, oak) showing up soon after to balance. Even at 6 years old, it has heat in the aftertaste. Each sip lasts a long time. This is excellent. I'd love to try one fresh.

tfontana (3801) - Fremont, New Hampshire, USA - NOV 28, 2020UPDATED: NOV 28, 2020 Bottle pour (2018 vintage) shared by Chalumeaux--thanks, TJ!! Appearance is opaque black motor oil with light sparkle at the edges of the glass, nice viscosity, ring of light brown head and no lacing. Aroma is strong roasted malt, chocolate. Taste is roasted malt, toffee, vanilla, hint of chocolate, mild coffee, hint of dark fruit. Mouthfeel is full bodied with thick, chewy texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, distinguishes itself from competition by mouthfeel. Aroma and taste are quite good--though not transcendant. Glad to have tried it--thanks, TJ, for the opportunity!
Hubson (978) - - MAR 15, 2020UPDATED: MAY 3, 2020 2014
Aromat intensywny, kakao, wanilia, trochę miód, delikatnie sos sojowy.
W smaku słodkie, też czekolada z wanilią, delikatnie kawa, w posmaku miodek, alkohol niewyczuwalny.
2018

W aromacie całkiem ładnie, główne skrzypce gra beczka, słodycz, wanilia, a wszystko dopełnia sos sojowy. W smaku przekozacko. Ultragęste, jak lekko wodnisty kisiel, niesamowicie słodkie. Ogrom czekolady, wanilia, karmel i cukier trzcinowy. Nisko nasycone, gładkie, cudownie wypełnia podniebienie. #teamcukrzyca
Nische (3994) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - NOV 8, 2019UPDATED: NOV 9, 2019 2009 bottle, white wax. Black with beige head. Sweet chocolate, soy sauce, quite a bit of raw rye bread. Some smokey umami and mushroom notes. Not too oxidized, but you can clearly feel age. Decent enough.
AaronIPAAPA (363) - Warsaw, POLAND - AUG 5, 2019UPDATED: AUG 5, 2019 2017. Zielony lak z brokatem. Taka moja opinia pozdrawiam.

Had 2014 few months ago and it was way more wine-ish. This keeps the untouchable perfection (whoever doesn't like it, please, quite beer). Pours black, slow, brown head, veil lacing. Strong nose of whiskey, roasted barley, molasses, vanilla, chocolate and brown sugar. Tastes sweet of brown sugar, boozy, caramel, big vanilla, whiskey, chocolate. Thick bodied, need a pizza cutter, viscous, sticky on the lips, this is going to kill me, but I survived 2014 at Copenhagen airport. Practice made me stronger. Perfect brew!

Easiest beer to review. Just throw a 5 everywhere! Definitely the best beer I had in the last 2 or 3 years. Pitch black, no head, no mercy! Strong aroma of molasses, ripe fruits and of something that can make you addicted. Sweet, full of molasses, chocolate and tonka beans. Very close to Port wine. Sticky, viscous, evil, make your airport 7 hour wait the best experience of your life. A perfect, fantastic brew!
