UPDATED: DEC 31, 2021 Bottle: Poured a deep black with a tan colored head. Aroma is boosty, chocolate, ashy, smokey, roasted malts. Taste is dark fruits, smokey, roasted malts, metallic, alcohol, spicy, peppery.

UPDATED: DEC 9, 2021 Bottle split at the Autumn Watford tasting, thanks to Dave, 24/09/21. Black with a tan head that escapes edgewards. Nose is dark malts, caramel, toffee, chocolate, light green pepper spice. Taste comprises cocoa powder, burnt toffee, light smoke, spice, light chilli flicker, dark malts, charr. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close Decent enough but overall lacks some depth for the high boost offered.

UPDATED: DEC 7, 2021 Vendredi 26 novembre 2021. Bouteille de 33cL. 12.7%. Bue à La Gargante de Parthenay avec mon père. Avant la rencontre de palet face à St Pardoux. Etiquette Jedi bien classe. Bière noir brillante avec peu de mousse. Molasse, chocolat noir, piment, notes de pruneau. Légère douceur, rondeur, amertume modérée, gras chaleureux, épicé. Corps gras, texture huileuse, plat, final rond légèrement épicé sur le piment. Bon mais je m'attendais à plus audacieux. En tout cas je suis pas fan. La bière était assez chère ; apparemment la brasserie Emperor est très bien cotée ; ici ça restait une collab.

UPDATED: DEC 4, 2021 330ml bottle. Pours black with the thinnest of tan heads. Aroma of chocolate, chilli, smoked meats. Taste is very smokey at first, meaty, rich dark chocolate, chilli is nice, warming, slightly fruity, brown sugar, molasses, more chocolate as it warms, bittersweet. Medium bodied. Nowhere near as thick as the BPAVK beers this is supposedly built off, but very decent.

UPDATED: OCT 16, 2021 Bottle at home, 16th October 2021. Pours black and slick. Aroma is liquorice, candy and coffee. Taste is rich, bittersweet, caramel, coffee, salted liquorice and a little chilli heat and red pepper in the finish. I like it

Medium sweet, big smoked malts, some light spice, brown bread, very slight earthy bitterness. Medium to full bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Lightly warming finish, a little chilli spice, cocoa, red pepper, light roast. Basic but not bad.

UPDATED: SEP 24, 2021 Bottle shared at Watford tasting. Many thanks to Wingman for this one. A earthy brown sugars, oily, beige head. Aroma is salty roast, brown sugars tcp. Flavour is composed of semi sweet z brown coloured pour, tcpz medicinal.. Palate is semi sweet, moderate carbonation. Fine.

UPDATED: SEP 8, 2021 Bottle. Beer Central Sheffield. Pours a thin looking dark brown. Fine tan head. Nose has a De Molen-esque smoked malt vibe. Some coffee notes. Some charred pepper. Taste is dry and lightly bitter with a smoked meat sweetness. Lacks depth for a big hitter. Fine carbonation. Smoky bittersweet finish. Lesson learned.

UPDATED: AUG 24, 2021 Svart med lys brunt skum. Lukter mørk sjokolade, noe floralsk, noe røkt. Fyldig. Smaker mørk noe bitter sjokolade, engelsk lakris med fin chili avslutning. Føles likevel fløyelsmyk.
