davidezdonz (1514) - Hong Kong, HONG KONG - JAN 11, 2022
UPDATED: JAN 11, 2022 A 375ml corked and caged bottle, with a neck label of 2020-2021, and a best before date of 21st January 2031. Poured into a Tilquin stemmed glass. It was a hazy apricot orange colour with a thin half finger white head that dissipated fairly quickly while leaving some decent lacing. Aromas fruity, plum, apricot, minerally, light funk, notes of wood, and lemon zest. Tastes lightly sour, plum, stone fruit, oak, vanilla, lemon zest, and light funky notes. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall, much like the Cassis, it may not be complex, but it works really well. The Mirabelle plums provides such great flavours and aromas that it’s just so easy to drink.

czar (13375) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 31, 2021
UPDATED: DEC 31, 2021 bottle courtesy of mathieuc, many thanks man. pours almost clear light to medium golden-orange with a very small white-ish cap offering some retention and lacing. bright tilquin funk, zesty lemons and firm apricots, tasty granny smiths as well, light to medium acidity - just over teeth grinding, potent yet integrated vinous notes, their tannins, salt. moderate carbonation, light body, dry and almost sour woodsy-spicy-lemony finish. unsure of a mirabelle standout but apricoty-lemony flavours are def present (with their strong acidity as well) with a very nice tilquin funk. not transcending but very kewl.

Superbe gueuze!

Power tasting at Matt's slaughterhouse, corked bottle; bb 11/12/2030
Cloudy blond colour with a dash of orange. The aroma is amazingly funky, farts. Moderately sour, faint stone fruit, mild funkiness; the fruit is detracting.
Exceptional aroma, ok flavour.
