UPDATED: NOV 12, 2020 330ml (4%) shared with Stuartyboy at home on 14 Oct 2020, purchased on 12 Oct 2020 (bb 30 Jul 2021): pleasing strawberry aroma, pinky amber, thin short-lived white head, irregular pattern of lacing, fruity, strawberry flavour, moderate fizz, sweet.

SHIG (10003) - Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, ENGLAND - OCT 3, 2020
UPDATED: OCT 3, 2020 Bottle: Poured a reddish orange with a carbonated white head. Aroma is strawberry and seedy. Taste is light tartness but then that strawberry takes over some earthy seeds in it as well.

Beese (12774) - Tooting, London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 24, 2020
UPDATED: JUN 24, 2020 330ml bottle from Waitrose, Rickmansworth and drunk on 31/10/2009. For what it is, I think it’s fairly drinkable. You know you’re getting syrupy, sweet strawberry flavouring, but there’s still the essence of the lambic underneath.

czar (13375) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 27, 2020
UPDATED: MAY 27, 2020 bottle that pours light golden orange, pink hue, with a nice creamy off-white head offering some retention and lacing. sweet potent strawberry flavours, nothing cloying but clearly artificial, like them strawberry-soft center candies like kerr's; faint but present acidity from lambic (not from 'fruit' for sure), softly sulphuric notes, plain white sugar. moderate carbonation, light body, sweetish fruity finish. a sweet (but not cloying as expected) and faintly tart fake strawberry sweetened lambic. ugh.

Eructoblaster (6993) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 20, 2020
UPDATED: MAR 20, 2020 Bottle - 330ml. Cloudy ruby body with a thin, light pink, frothy head. Strawberry candy aroma with some malty hints. its lightly misbalanced, oversweetened malty/fruity taste ends with a short, harsh, sweet/sour finish. Disappointing.

BeardedAvenger (5128) - New Haw, Surrey, ENGLAND - DEC 31, 2019
UPDATED: DEC 31, 2019 From Wine Rack, Burpham. In a can as Strawberry Lambicus. Artificial flavouring strawberry aroma, reminds me of an ice lolly. Pale red with an orange tint. Hazy. Bubbly white head. Sweet sugary strawberry with a low key sour edge. Light-medium bodied. Slick but thin. Lazy prickly fizzy carbonation. Dry finish. May as well be a soda. At least it's not cloying.

UPDATED: DEC 19, 2019 A 330ml can with a best before date of 25th December 2019. Poured into a 3 Fonteinen stemmed glass. It poured a slightly hazy reddish pink orange colour with a one finger white head that dissipated fairly quickly and left only sparse lacing. Aromas of strawberry hard candy. Tastes sweet, strawberry hard candy, strawberry, syrupy, jammy, strawberry soda, too sweet. Light bodied, moderate carbonation, too sweet. Overall, sweetened Lambic with sugar added, which is not my thing, as its generally too sweet for my palate. But the strawberry aroma much resembles that of strawberry hard candies which I love. Taste as I said was too sweet, but the strawberry flavours were ok. Very uncomplex for a fruit lambic.

GarrettB (2381) - San Diego, California, USA - SEP 16, 2019
UPDATED: SEP 16, 2019 September 19th, 2015 - Like so many others, this lambic is just too sweet. Though blushing with that ripe peach color, that is the best quality of this beer. The nose is clean and fresh, and offers some strawberry and watermelon notes. But the flavor is very thin. There are notes of sweet medicine in there, but the overall impression is one of a artificial sugar strawberry DumDum lollipop.

Alengrin (9649) - Gent, BELGIUM - AUG 24, 2019
UPDATED: AUG 24, 2019 One of the many sweet 'lambics' produced by Timmermans under John Martin, can from a random nightshop in Ghent, as it occurred to me that I apparently never had this particular one before. Contains all kinds of bad things: more sugar than wheat according to the ingredients list, concentrated strawberry but also elderberry aromas, additional aromas and antioxidant... Irregularly but tightly lacing, medium thick, mousy but quickly opening, pale off-pinkish head, hazed vermillion-tinged deep amber robe. Aroma of red candy - so strong that it overpowers the nostrils upon opening the can, 'poepegatjes' and Haribo, strawberry-flavoured bubblegum, Fanta Strawberry (yes, there is such a thing), pink ice cream, hints of dirt, swimming pool, iron and indeed some elderberry syrup, but hardly distinguishable from the strawberry aroma. Extremely sweet onset as expected, tons of white sugariness and strawberry and elderberry aromas in the most fake way imaginable, like strawberry-flavoured ice cream or red candy, light sourish undertone but more in an ascorbic acid-like way than anything even remotely lambic-like, spritzy lemonade-like carb; slick, bubblegummy body gaining more volume from sugar than from malts, though a light, rounded cereally effect lies buried deep beneath all that fruit candy. Ends with a very slight bitterish note but in a medicine-like way more than a hoppy way - actual hops are nowhere to be found, and meanwhile that overall red fruit candy and heavily sweet pink strawberry ice cream effect keeps dominating and annoyingly sticking to throat and teeth, with that ascorbic lemonade sourishness trailing behind. Delivers more or less what I was expecting, this has nothing at all to do with lambic in spite of the can abusing the word by adding 'Lambicus' to the name; this kind of fake, industrial and unhealthily sugary products need to be extinguished from the face of the planet. I wonder why I even bothered... Oh John Martin, how I wish you would have stayed in England 110 years ago instead of setting up business in Antwerp!
