COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Welsh Red Ale
Probably the best word ever. Cwtch (rhymes with butch) can mean either cuddle or cubbyhole. Grab a glass, relax and cwtch up with this untraditional Welsh red ale - a perfect blend of six caramelly malts and three citrussy American hops.

It isn’t your average bitter - the hops do more to this deep amber coloured beer than just provide bite. Any old hop can do that! We’ve selected some of the most aromatic and tangy hops from the other side of the pond to give this red a fresh hit that complements the caramel flavours of the malts that gives this beer its colour. Drinkability and balance makes this beer.

We love a good Cwtch, and we’re not the only ones…

UPDATED: DEC 20, 2021 Clear reddish colour with white head. Smell of wild berries and barley. Taste is well-balanced with barley, wheat, wild berries and very smooth. An all-night er if you find this one at your local pub. Tasted at home, gift from my wife at 4th advent.

UPDATED: DEC 17, 2021 33 cl can. Clear amber colour with a creamy dense off-white head. Fruity aroma with citrus, caramel malts and a toasted note. Taste is bitter. Medium bodied. Dry and bitter finish with citrus fruit and caramel malts. Very tasty and fresh, could easily flush down a lot of these.

FACambridge (1122) - Chelmsford, Essex, ENGLAND - OCT 17, 2021
UPDATED: OCT 17, 2021 Aroma : Rich toffee maltiness, hoppy red autumnal fruits and a subtle mulched leafiness. Taste : Looks medium bodied but mouthfeel is quite thin. Moderate bitter dark fruits hoppiness upfront. Overriding taste though is the malty toffee. Has a little typical 'red ale' astringent note in the lingering finish. Better than most I've tried in this style!

Rot-braunes Bier, grober Schaum. Bitterer Röstmalzduft mit einer guten Portion Toffee und Hopfen . In Franken wär‘s ein Altfränkisch 😜 Antrunk grüner Kaffe, zartes Röstmalz, Hopfen. Mir gefällt das leicht kratzige im Abgang. Vollmundig mit Charakter. Sehr gut.
