Some malt flavours come through, and somewhere under the sweet gunk there is probably an echo of an imperial stout trying to be heard. Yeah, it's drinkable, but wouldn't it have been so much better if they'd just concentrated on making a beer without all the candyfloss? [2.6]

UPDATED: MAY 19, 2021 On tap at BrewDog Soho Black beer thin tan toffee chocolate aroma. chocolate and crunchie honeycomb aroma. more of the same in mouth. very smooth. hides abv well. honeycomb chocolate finish. very impressive. yes toffee popcorn. just a little juice on the chocolate. oily mouthfeel. otherwise pretty impressive. liked it. not too salty but definitely caramel popcorn
