baraciisch (4919) - California, USA - APR 22, 2018
Pours a slightly hazy dark gold with effervescent head that immediately dissipates... Aroma of funk, oak, grape skins, grains, aged hops... Flavor is light and sessionable, light merlot grape notes, tons of gueuzey funk, hay, barnyard... some light salinity... This is outstanding ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(Rating #7871)

My Bottom Line:
Dandelion-like floral aromas meet Lambic-y funk in this tart Wild Ale.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam circles the hazy pale pink.
-Drinkability is quite high.
-The sumac fruitiness blends in nicely.
-Acidity levels remain moderate.

Bottle.

marcus (12679) - Sacramento, California, USA - AUG 19, 2017
On tap at Mikkeller Bar SF. Pours cloudy gold with a tiny white head and a sourish grape aroma. There is a medium-bodied pale malt flavor with a plethora of fruit tastes. Dry salty finish.

60minuteman (1764) - West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 4, 2017
UPDATED: AUG 4, 2017 Bottle from store. A highly quaffable/sessionable sour saison. Seemingly light in the numbers but not short on zest or fruity flavors (grapefruit, lemon, orange). Strong malt backbone with a bit of salinity. Very complex for such a light brew.

egajdzis (9093) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 12, 2016
Burgundy color with small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of merlot, wood, citrus, earth, barnyard. Taste of merlot, grape skins, wood, dark fruits, wheat, salt, and a tart finish.

Tired Hands Fermenteria: pours pinkish orange with a white head. Aroma is woody, winy, and funk. Taste is lightly sour. Very woody. Lightly minerally. Pretty complex. Nice aftertaste. Nice.

Tart but not too much really great balance between tart and flavor. Dark fruits and tannins. Just a nice beer.

Draught at Fermenteria, 8/27/16.
Auburn-tinged copper body shows just a touch of haze, with a rose-flecked, off-white head atop showing moderate to low retention.
Light brett tartness flecked with mild citrus fruitiness is backed by soft wheat notes, a hint of salinity and bright, but not punchy, red grape notes. Very minimal funk to it, but a good dose of minerality and hay, with no alcohol, hop, or flaw.
Bright, lightly to moderately tart, with a soft, wheat-laden texture incorporating tight carbonation and high attenuation. Brett works well with the grape notes, adding a lovely lime-cherry-wine flavor that is dry, nicely drawn out on the finish and isn’t overly acidic. Very easy-drinking, highly flavorful little beer. Lots of fun stuff going on for 4.6% abv and nothing overdone.
