UPDATED: SEP 29, 2021 Amazingly I don’t seem to have any record of having drunk this beer before – so not since 2012 at the latest. Cask at Sun Inn, Stafford. Pours a reddish brown with a medium off-white head. Traditional hops and malt vie for supremacy in the aroma – with some nutty characteristics in there too. Has a creamy texture and is Initially sweet and malty in the mouth with hints of almond. Later hops start coming through with a side order of bread rolls – giving an overall effect similar to Werthers Original sweets. Finish is quite bitter. Quite nice – I will certainly drink this again.

UPDATED: FEB 17, 2021 From bottle (BB June'21) in dimpled mug. Pours clear ruby amber w/short, dense tan head that settled into a ring, aroma of roast caramel malt and earthy hops (I'd agree w/hawthorn00 on peach as well). A rich and tasty ESB w/decent bitterness in the finish.
