UPDATED: SEP 14, 2021 On tap at Ebenezers, Crewe. Pours almost black with minimal head. Chocolate and malts in the aroma, but only weakly. Texture in the mouth is creamy. Flavour starts out as roast malts and oats, but blater on chocolate and coffee start to come through, along with hints of liquorice. Finish is slightly bitter. A decent enough stout, but not outstanding.

UPDATED: JAN 4, 2020 500ml bottle from Tesco, Watford and drunk on 10/03/2006. A darn good bottled more traditional English stout. Good body and nice roasty flavours. Wasn’t always as fussed with the flavoured versions, but this was solid.
