UPDATED: DEC 22, 2021 Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color sottu with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some alcing. Aroma of woody bourbon notes with some light vanilla and residual sugar notes with some black chocolate notes and roasted malt notes also quite dominant. Taste is dominated by woody bourbon notes with some dark roasted malt and black chocolate notes with some vanilla and a rather dry finish. Body is full with a nice oily texture and good carbonation with some warming alcohol notes. Nice late night sipper.

Aroma has really nice barrel note through our with some chocolatey dark grains and a bitter roast malts backing. Flavor has smooth dark grains and bitter roast with some chocolate and a great barrel note.

UPDATED: MAY 8, 2021 Bottle. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of sweet molasses, brown sugar, licorice, quite some barrel. Velvet and extremely sweet, loads of molasses, dark chocolate, roasted malts. Light bitter, with a sweet theme through out the beer.

UPDATED: DEC 16, 2020 Silver wax 2019. Dark color out of the bottle with a brown head that shrank to a lasting slick. Nice alcohol and molasses nose. This is a big, rich impy stout that is enhanced by the barrel rather than overpowered. Molasses, dark roasted grains, dark fruits, and really nice whiskey tastes.

UPDATED: FEB 2, 2020 Orange wax 2018. Black and oily with no head. Aroma and flavour start with earthy mushrooms, coconut and soy sauce. Later there's more and more sweet whisky. Full and oily. Finish has some red fruit port notes.
