UPDATED: JUL 23, 2020 On tap at Town Square, pours a flat golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out bitter piney hops upfront, with a crisp biscuity malt backbone. Flavour is floral and soapy, with bittering piney hops, soapy notes, and biscuity malt. Sharp and astringent, with too much floral character. Not a great IPA.

Can - Citrus and a touch of teal leaf. Clearish yellow gold with a rich white head. Bitter and citrus upfront with a decent bitter finish.

Aroma of lemon, orange, grapefruit rind, lavender and lime. Taste is Lime, grapefruit rind, malty caramel and strong bitterness. Perhaps a bit too strong and bitter for an afternoon of drinks, but a good one off.

473ml can. Pours a hazy gold-amber with a medium, foamy, long lasting, off-white head that laces nicely. Sweet aroma of caramel malt, orange peel, grapefruit pith, peach and pine resin. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, orange peel, lime, lemon, grapefruit and grass with a dry, bitter pine resin finish. Medium body with a creamy, smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Nice.

Can shared at game night. Bit of pine, lots of citrus rind, a bit of fusels as it warms, nice creamy mouthfeel with appropriate assertive bitterness.

Pours a pale gold, thick bright white head with a ton of lacing. The nose is bright citrus, pine needle, mild grainy malts. CItrus and pine needle hop profile with light floral and grapefruit notes. Bitter on the finish with a bit of resin character, lingering astringency. Good malt to hop balance, medium body, medium carbonation. A very decent IPA!

Ok, despite the death metal rant on the previous review mere seconds ago, true thrash metal made me reach for another beer because it's basically mandatory to drink when the music demands it. Don't feel like drinking? Any Municipal Waste album cures your stupidity. So we go 100% thrash during this heavily distracted attempt at typing shit. So, Town Square - seemingly local crushers new to the scene. Thank fucking god Edmonton is getting a beer scene and I think that this place will play a healthy part in the awesomeness that we are about to receive after years and years of torment at the hands of dumpster fires like Alley Kat. This one is out of the can as the brewery was out when I visited. The aroma is solid - sooooooo very thick, sweaty, resin, sweetness, sweet caramel, peaches. The candy side and malt aroma dominate as the rrgf and I think lime attempt to break through. The flavour needs a bit of refinement but I can't say no to heaps of dank hops. Borderline chewy, healthy spice and hops throughout, citrus.... damn - this one is really a shit ton of bitterness, pepper burn, grapefruit, whatever. I wonder if this what I'll find on tap sitting down on location. If so I may be equally disappointed in a fine tuned ipa to my exact taste preferences.. <---- It's all about me. Solid brew that never ever backs down as it warms. A full blast hop massacre that's seemingly brewed to destroy and satisfy. Lowish mark because millions of nutbag ipas. It's a bit of a mess that reaches far enough to love. In the end heavy bitterness doesn't actually win out as I feel that I desperately need this to be much more - let's see how the rest of the 4 pack treats me. Municipal Waste - You're cut off - the greatest thrash song ever created. 1:14 of pure neck snapping bliss unequalled in the genre. My iTunes count has this song at 110. The vid is retarded and worthy of multiple slow mo views just to catch every single detail including a Duvel cameo! The greatest.

Tasted at the brewery, flight sized glass. Gold colour, light swirl of white head on top. The aroma is quite citrusy, nice orange peel note. The taste has big citrus notes, zesty and big orange notes. Finishes dry with pine and orange pith. Medium bitterness. It's good.

Pint on tap at Beer Revolution in Edmonton pours a pale golden colour with a finger of white head that leaves some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is mild citrus and pine with some cereal grains. Taste is a citrus and pine hop bitterness with a light malty sweetness. Grainy mouth feel. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall, a pleasant hop bomb that is sure to please those hop lovers out there. Recommended.
