COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
New baltic porter with a faint hint of vanilla from being partially aged on oak. Was said it may come out for the colder months, but it could be tapped again unexpectedly.

From notes (11/6/15). Rumor has it that this is essentially a scaled-down version of the recipe for Mott the Lesser. Good roasted taste and a bit of well-placed sweetness, which is all rounded out by a smooth mouthfeel. Very well made.

Had on tap at the source. $5.40 ($5.00 + $0.40 ME tax) for the 12 oz. offering. Pours an inky ruby-tinted dark cardovan; beige head 1 finger was promising. Looks remarkably similar to a cavernous Coca-Cola. Head spirals down confusedly. 1finger diminishes to just a pinky nail. Good show. I immediately had smelled molasses, oats, Pacific Northwest noble hops, charcoal, DME, and...maple syrup-drenched pancakes. Srsly. No lie. The pancake batter note cut down on the maple character, making balance an actual living, breathing thing. Tastes much the same with the addition of autumnal leaves, cotton, and a touch of smoked ham. Nice. I
